Anyone know where I can pick up the Workbench disks for an Amiga 1200 that I recently picked up? The machine was an absolute steal: £2! For a working machine with mouse + PSU! However it came with no disks whatsoever, so I can't do a lot with it at the minute. If anyone can help me get hold of the appropriate disks I'll be hugely grateful.
Cheers in advance

2 pound for an A1200?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :eek :eek :eek :eek :eek :eek

Holy Crap! And I thought I was already getting a good deal with my A2000 for 30 pounds.

If you say that this A1200 has a HD too, I'm going to puke here :D

Excellent excellent excellent job! :bounce :bounce

That surely was a steal. Congrats, ganymede... This works a treat to show that you CAN get real Amigas, and for cheap... I don't want to hear the 'I can't find them anywhere anymore' excuse anymore :)

Life is more happy with an AMIGA

I might be able to help you there as I have copies of both Workbench 3.0 and 3.1 depending on which version you have.

If you have a Commodore crab C= logo on the casing you will normally need Workbench 3.0 but if it has AMIGA TECHNOLOGIES on it then it's a Workbench 3.1 machine.

If you let me know I should be able to post you duplicates of them as you are in the UK I shall just "borrow" some stamps from work :)

Tazz: No HD sadly, although apparently I can pick one up for £12. However, it seems 44-pin ide cables cost just as much :/
Damn laptop components... Still, I guess £20 or so isn't too bad. After that I'm going to see if I can put the sucker onto my network :)

Oddball, Workbench 3.1 should be used regardless of A1200 version, as it will run on Kickstart 3.0 as well as Kickstart 3.1

THI I have had both A1200 versions my Amiga Tech melted just after Escom gave up on life :sad as such I installed WB3.1 onto my older Commodore A1200 and found that some librarys that come with it DEMAND WB3.1 roms or they wont work.

This is true for most Amigas just try installing WB2.0+ onto a WB1.3 machine and see what happens :D

If ganymedecluster wishes I will send both sets and he can play around

This is not true, I have ran Workbench 3.1 on my Kickstart 3.0 Amiga 1200 ever since it was released. I'm guessing that you have a 3rd party application/datatype/library/whatever that is getting confused, or maybe you're using an A4000T Workbench 3.1 or something, but the A1200 Workbench 3.1 is designed to run on 3.0 or 3.1 ROM's. Hi, I've installed an accelerator board for my old A1200 (Apollo 1230/40 Mhz 8MB FastRam), now I've got a new computer!, So after that I try ti install a new HD and I found that the workbench 3.0 disk and the Install 3.0 were damage.
So, I will thanks any help, to find the workbench 3.0 and the Install 3.0.

Thanks.
