Shhh, don't tell Jope...
(possibly not Amiga related)
I recently went through most of my retro-collection replacing leaky batteries. In Blue Peter tradition here's one I did earlier...

Collage this time - you can tell I've got a 4 year old.
For orientation right above the middle simm there are a couple of wires coming out of the mobo, snaking past the PSU & to a battery in the slot on the right....
...The original (rather furry) button was soldered by three legs to the mobo. The new position should reduce such worries in the future.
The two positive legs looked to have tracks going off in different directions so there's a (non-visible) wire under the mobo connecting the two.
Did you notice my fine mounting technique?
Yes, sellotape & sticky velcro. :evilgrin
I couldn't find a bit of shrink-wrap big enough for the job.
The rest is for anyone's interest - & Zetr0 who requested the above so long ago he's probably forgotten - sorry.
