Hello,

I know it is possible to emulate a CD32 with software on the 1200
But I would like to get the interface for reading cd-audio like on a real
cd32
just an idea:
Would it be possible to install in an A1200 a switchkick with the CD32 kickstart and the standard 3.1 roms

Then if the 1200 has an IDE cd-rom,will it boot like a real cd32 ??

I believe the cd32 kickstart is on one chip but the 3.1 kickstart on the 1200 use two chips.
Would it be a problem ?

Sorry, wrong supposition!

The CD32 (as the CDTV, for this matter) have extended ROM who have the features you want (and the CD player program).

If you want to emulate a CD32 using your A1200, better download the SurfSquirrel disk drive image from Installer's Heaven, tweak it to reflect your settings and use it instead.

The CD32 "emulator" who comes with IDEfix97 is not that good compared with the Squirrel one.

CD hardware, both controller and drive, is also totally different. (not IDE or SCSI)
