I was wondering, would it at all be possible (and not suck speed wise) running ClassicWB on an A1000 with a Phoenix motherboard with an 8 MB upgrade?
CPU: 68000
ChipRAM: 1mb
FastRAM: 9mb

Does that have 2.04 ROMS and is it ECS?
If so, this would be the version you're after:

Works fast with a 68000. :)
The other ClassicWB packs require an 020 and 3.0 ROMS or higher.

Super, thanks again Bloodwych :)
I've not yet build the classic Phoenix... but have the board coming and am looking for someone who has a board so I can program the GALs it needs :) The Phoenix can be equipped with any kickstart version (I'll probably give it a 3.1) and it is ECS.

I've gotten hold of an unpopulated Phoenix board, hopefully I can find someone who is willing to program the GALs needed for me (someone who has the jedec files). I have the schematics so it's mainly the GAL files I need to complete the board.

The A1000 Phoenix kicks major butt, nice to have in your Amiga collection. I wonder if anyone has tried it using an CF as a hard drive?
