I thought I'd try something a little different and decided to mount the drive higher up in the case in my second 1200.
I was previously unhappy with the top of the CD bezel protruding when the drive was installed flush with the bottom half of the case.
Anyways, have a peek and you'll se what I've done..

Offer the drive up to the case and go for it. No sanding here.. just some good files and a smidge of Isopon

I found that cabinet modesty blocks were the perfect height. Fixed permanently with lashings of JBWeld.

The extra height allowed the CF adaptor to be turned upside down and tucked under the drive to save some room (not shown).
The JAE adaptor had to have it's sound connector cut away to allow the back to sit lower on the motherboard.
Most of the RF shield has been retained.

Drive with chamfered bezel was chosen so the top lip wouldn't protrude.

It's been fun and I hope that some of you guys try this method as I believe it looks better.
Thanks for looking. :)
