Yo

Is anybody using XP and running Pc2Am to transfer down a Parallel cable ?

I'm trying to get mine going but since i changed to XP (and new PC hardware) it wont .. Just wondering if its actually the software not working or am i gonna keep going to try to get it working ?

Any advice appreciated :)

Cheers

PC2Amiga uses DOS, so there might be the problem, but I personally never used/will never use XP, so I cannot try/help you further ;)

The dos proggy's (pc2amiga.exe etc..) seem to run fine, Gives me the output 'Amiga <-> Pc Transferer' ok.

Also i can (beforehand) run pc2amcfg to setup the config etc...

It just doesnt seem to actually talk with the Amiga.

PS: I'm using Pc2Am309c if the knowing which version helps.

Ok :) Lets see .... you changed to new PC Hardware hmmm ... set the right port ?? Both Computers same speed ? Try 19200 to be safe .... and be sure to run the Amiga Config Prog again even if you only changed PC Hardware .... just a try though ;)

you can install WIN98 first on your PC and then WIndows xp on the same pc.
If you need to use Pc2Am simply reboot and load Win98(one minute wait on a fast PC)

Just look down on the prb.hardware-forum (or use search)..

This subject has been talked about before! You might not have to install win98 beside xp.

BTW: if you install 98 and XP on the same machine, you must modify 98's registry to set "Program Files" in another place! It's not wise to have both OSes install their applications in the same dir.
