Hi. Running WinUAE v0.8.21R2 under WinXP. WB3.1, Kick3.1. Picasso GFX modes.

I thought the 'Pointer trails' problem was supposed to be "Gone, gone, gone".

Well .... They are still there!!! Doh!

You have just selected wrong resulution mode i think. Maybe u have selected 32bit BGRA.

Try "1024*768 16bit PC".

Yup. I am using 800x600@32bit, but then I like that mode as I can have WinUAE in a window (without having to change my desktop to 16bit colour).

Why cant I use that mode ?

I also have this pointer trails problem in WinUAE 0.8.25.

I too am using 32 bits p96 screenmode in order to have WinUAE in a window (my Windows screenmode is 32 bits).

IIRC, I have to use a special version of rtg.library in order not to have the problem, but even though I use it (I don't remember where I downloaded it, Picasso96 website, I guess), I still have the pointer trails problem sometimes : most of the time, my workbench boots with no problem, but the trails appear e.g. after I quit a whdload game or such (when the workbench screen is reopened). It also sometimes happen when the workbench boots, but more rarely.

So, is there a way to resolve this problem apart from using a 16 bits p96 screenmode ?

you need to copy the RTG lib from the winuae/amigaprograms folder to libs:picasso96/ dir on amiga HD :)

This will cure the trials for good... trust me ;)
