I've just played Goal on my A4000T... and it was not a nice experience :(
The graphics would most of the time be really sluggish and then suddently (briefly) speed up to normal speed.
My A4000T runs OS 3.9, has a 060 processor with 96 mb RAM and a P-IV board... are there any tool types I should try out ??

You could try Nocache, that's the one most likely to solve it.
Otherwise - welcome to the wacky world of WHDLoad on '040/'060s, where you'll probably encounter several problems...

Goal's slave in general is not good. It has many flaws in many other compartments (with all respect to person who did the slave).

Indeed nothing can be saved:league or cup, replay goals, options and modified teams:sad
(My respect by its creator too, rest in peace)

ah, ok... has anyone picked up the gauntlet on this slave issue ??
btw, are there any prospects of getting WHDLoad to work nicely with 040 and 060 processors ??

Your best bet is to set tooltypes and hope they can solve the problem... sometimes this does work but some, sadly, it doesn't. Most of the problems I find are indeed speed problems, there are probably various tedious technical explanations for this ;)
I did set up this (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=34854) thread a while back for problems on an '040 but I guess a lot of them would apply to an '060 too...?

Goal worked with the nocache tooltype :) yay!!
Hostages... it still crashes when I have all the snipers in place :(
