I vaguely remember playing an Amiga game which was a cross between adventure, puzzle and platform action. The game had many beautyful drawn HAM-pictures. One picture I remember has a huge skeleton of some distinct dinosaur on it. The game has the word Crystal/ Kristal in its title and is released before 1991.
Does this this description does ring a bell?

Cody, I am flabbergasted. Now that was a quick (and correct) response!:)
The pictures sure bring back some memories but I cannot remember anything anymore from this game. Do you know what this game was about?

Let's see!

"Many years ago, an Orodrid died."

"As time passed, the land shifted, and the seas changed; our ancestors found his remains lying in a valley, uncovered by the River Odruilen. We fashioned a city out of his very bones, and we named the city Orodrid."

"Deep within the skull, we make the Crystallion out of the Orodrid's fossilized brain crystals."

"But only the most worthy can reach the crystal egg and hatch the Crystallion."

"Your own Crystallion awaits its birth."

That clears that up! This is the main screen from which you can go to the different sub-games:

Such as the isometric platform bit seen in the double-barrel screenshot above.

Or this strange arena thing:

LOL! Wow, a full color manual! Cody, when you answer a question, you answer a question!

Many thanks for the screenshots of this game, Cody. It sure brought back some memories. Now if I could get my hands on it (subtle hint ;) )
Somehow I regard Knights of the Crystallion as a far ancestor of surrealistic puzzle games like Myst. I have played both games for a few minutes and never looked back to it since.

Thanks for uploading the game, Twistin.
Lets hope I will stick to this game longer than all those years ago. :D

Not surprising given that Knights of the Crystallion was coded by Bill Williams, who was responsible for Mindwalker.
