View Full Version : KGWHD - Feedback on Xmas Update...

Hi folks,

I've finally finished uploading the December pack...

It's 663 files, and weighs in at just over 500mb. You'll find it on my newly created "archives" page.

Oh and... I've uploaded brand new #-Z (yeah I lied about not finishing them).

They now contain every whdload install, minus a few exceptions (ACP&TCP games, games with errors, a few language versions...) which makes a grand total of 2500 zips.

http://guildserver.co.uk/kgwhd/

Please enjoy these over Xmas and have a great one.

Oh and one last thing... if you use my whdload packs and haven't already taken a look at my donations page, please take a look...

So did you have a Beeb or an Electron?

I had an Electron. Damn stupid, incompatible PoS.

And the best place to buy games was..... not WHSmith, or John Menzies or places like that.... wait for it.... it was the local Texaco Petrol station!

They had all the Beeb/electron games for £2.99 each.

My favourite game at the time was, looking back, soooo lame. It was "Escape from Moonbase Alpha".

It wasn't until much later, long after the Electron had been banished to the cupboard, I discovered the delights of games such as: Repton, Gauntlet and some others which escape me...

killergorilla
21 December 2007, 13:15
I had both actually, don't really remember the Electron much, in fact the only electron game I had was some weetabix game that came free on a box IIRC.

I remember the Beeb much more, I think I had moonbase alpha actually, I'll have to dig up a piccy to see...

My faves were Felix Meets The Evil Weevils, Castle Quest, Zalaga (Galaga Ripoff), Snapper (Pacman ripoff), Ravenskull, and of course the Repton games.

Oh and stairway to hell was good fun too. Great memories!

I hope that guy finishes the xbox port of BeebEm.

Hey everyone,

KG, thats awesome commitment to the scene buddy... Thanks heaps.

Could you please just check the link to the dat file? I tried to get it but 404 not found.
(I currently have the packs from the pleasuredome but they are all renamed from your structure - I wanna cleanup before downloading the files that I need... instead of the whole whopping 2.8Gb)

Hi KG

many thanks for this giant pack-update und your fantastic work

Does anyone else have problems with the C, D and S pack's?

I got an error message when extracting them. I this a 7zip problem?

Merry Xmas :xmas

@Morkai: When unpacking the December update, I got 23 (!) "can not open output file" errors in the \Racter\Data\ folder, using the latest 7zip x64 on Viśta x64. There's also a blank named, 234kb file in the TrivialPursuit\Data\S folder - undeletable without "special" operations (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=30587).

Marcuz

I had a problem unzipping in windows using winzip & winrar so i unzipped using the amiga, one file gave me problems in the WHDLoad Games Update - 2007-03-27.zip, "Curse of Enchantia....", the name is to long for the amiga?.

Edit: OOps almost forgot, Thanks for the games KG, nice work.

I hope that guy finishes the xbox port of BeebEm.

Don't hold your breath on that project, he went silent very quickly...

Someone just needs to report X-Ports port of mess which he used for the Atari 7800 emulator to be configured to BBC games instead. There must be some half decent coders around who could...

Anyway, thx Killa! Btw will I need to re-download the # to Z games as well? My ones date from early March.
