Hi everybody,

I'm looking for the MelodyCD. This is the "Install-CD" for the Melody Soundcard.

Today I tried to build an image of my MelodyCD. But all programs founds only read errors while building the image (it's the same if I take Nero, Alcohol or MakeCD).

If somebody have it I would be pleased if he could make an image for me.

Thanks a lot for your good will but it's not what I'm looking for, I need the CD. :-/

Maybe your links could be useful for other peoples who needs the install disk too.

I already own the original install disk and the drivers because long time ago I bought the soundcard. ;)
But it's angry - there I own a CD and then this f***ing thing is damaged :crying

I kinda figured you would already have the drivers but i thought i would try anyway:)

Scratches aside, the sad thing is if the CD Rom polymer has polymerized then there is very little chance of getting any data from it :(

As the CD's contents are preserved, a scratched CD can be recovered by polishing its plastic surface. If, after carrying out the above cleansing, the CD persists in giving reading errors, just polish the CD with toothpaste. That's right, toothpaste. It works wonders, and you won't spend a fortune buying professional cleaning kits. Polish the scratches with a cotton swab, rubbing gently the paste-imbued swab over the scratches until they disappear or until you notice that you have removed them as far as possible. Sometimes the paste may cause new scratching, but it will be merely superficial and easily removed. After clearing the scratches, wash the CD in water.
If there are still scratches that the toothpaste has not managed to removed, use a metal polish (Brasso) in the same way as described above. Finally, rub Vaseline on the CD, very gently (do not press hard), from moving out from the centre to the rim.

toothpaste..... lol i have seen / used the brasso method, but toothpaste.... clearly a blinder..

However these methods are only for seriously scratched surfaces... IF the polymer has de-crystallized the data really is lost. this can happen over time and if there kept in direct sunlight.

Hi EAB-friends,

I have tried to reconstruct over the months my MelodyCD. But without success :-(((

Are here really no peoples who have bought the Melody soundcard, have the CD yet and could help? I can't believe it :-/
