I was following the guidance of the Lord that is Zetr0 and said I had a new screen coming well here it is :

This thing supports composite in and RGB maybe Svid I do not know, I presume since the PS2 can throw out Svid it may do, but I am happy for now, this will go in my portable Amiga.

Zetr0 will be most pleased to here it wants 12V @ 1000Ma (1Amp? ) :D :D :D

Now onto ripping TeH guts outta it :)

Tried the screen with my A600s comp. out and it had some ghosting, little blured I think, but overall for the £17 shipped it cost me I think I did well, I know it takes RGB though maybe that will give me a cleaner pic?

That would mean modding the PS2 lead thats hanging off it to the Amigas video out port.... hmmm more work, but I think this may be over all easier than modding that Panasonic VGA unit, as I won't need to mess with screen modes or have extra gadgets converting and what not.

The build quaility of the case is pretty generic and poor I guess they use the same screen with many consoles and gadgets, originally a PS2 just kinda sits on a tray on it and you hook up the lead, it seems as though it was made without the PS2 mind.

I do have to say though the sound quaility is rather shockingly good :) better than my tiny Thinkpad speakers.

It will ghost anyway, I have one of those exact screens and the ghosting and softy focus effect will be aparent through either input.

I also have the gamecube version, with which I had planned to use as a screen for my A600, exactly the same issue, I doubt Joytech use the highest qualty screens somehow.

Still i would love a crack at it...

I was thinking of using one of these little babies :)

No idea about that, I think that would need 1 of those boxes Zetr0 was on about to upscale things, but then you might as well just use a VGA capable screen.

I think I'll still mash up that Panasonic panal though... in the interest of Amiga and all that :D

A hand-held dreamcast?

I got plenty of Dreamcasts if someone wants to adapt one, surely the actual GD-Rom drive (the drive mechanics of it all) would be the biggest obstivcle?

I am sure that Ben Heck did one though somehow...

I have a similarly sized screen (standalone) from Joytech and the vertical res is so small that it's not well suited for anything but games..
