I'm starting to work on this game again now (see the other threads in this section if you are unfamiliar with this project), although I'm not putting a date on when a new demo will be available. It will be a little while yet I'd imagine but we're getting somewhere with this now.

Anyway - I've got (and getting) some graphics, I've got some music, but I don't have many decent sound effects. If you search for the demo on Aminet (search for Annihilation) you'll probably realise that the sfx aren't up to much; I just nicked them from various PD games.

So: is there anyone out there who can put together some suitable sfx for this game, or indeed has any sfx lying around thet think might work with it? (They have to be in IFF format though.)

As I stated, there's a demo on Aminet if you've never played the game before. If you can help, or you want more details, then post here or PM me. Thanks!

@GH

I have a large sample bank and some mixers, all i would need is a list of the effects you require.

from that i can put a batch of samples for you to see if you like, and lead on from there.

So get me a list my friend, and I will get you some sounds FX for Anihilation :D

Thanks Zetr0.

Well, I'm a bit naff when it comes to specifically describing what sort of sounds I want, but it is a shoot-em-up so plenty of zapping noises are in order I think ;)

There are five different weapons for the player, so I'd need a different sound effect for each weapon, one for when a pickup is collected, different explosions for when the player is killed, and for different enemies depending on their size (I'd say we'd need slightly different ones for enemy turrets, and for small enemies, medium ones and large ones, and of course for the boss enemies at the end of each level).

If you haven't ever played the game, perhaps you could download the (very old) demo from Aminet? This may give you a better feel for the game.

Just the standard IFF format really, otherwise I can't use them. ;)

Cheers Zetr0, I appreciate this!

D'you know what, I can't get the game to work under WinUAE either... however for me the game just freezes when the level loads up. If it's quitting back to WB then you may have a file missing... have you copied the contents of the 'Fonts' directory to your 'Fonts' assign, for instance? Try running SnoopDOS as well if you're not already.

Anyway, thanks for the music offer as well, someone's done three tunes for me already and he may be doing some more but I'll keep you in mind ;)

Oh, and Ironclaw... erm, thanks for your generous offer, maybe for another project though ;)

Hey Zetr0, don't know if you've had the chance to give it another go yet, but if you have does it work now?

@GH

hello there, I ment to post earlier, i am still having issues with running the game, but I have created a small batch of generic sounds as well as a few loaders if you are interested m8y *ofcourse their in MED format*

Cheers Zetr0, MED format might be a problem for the game but I'd like to take a look anyway :)

No idea why the demo's not running, maybe you could try running SnoopDOS, if the game suddenly quits back to Workbench without warning there's a good chance a file is missing somewhere.

@GH

Cool. If they're just standard sounds could you put them into standard IFF files?
