Hi
Hoping someone can help me out in listing all the games in these series.
Dizzy games (Can't remember many at all, how many were made and what are they called?) I can remember:
Fantasy World Dizzy
Dizzy Prince of Yolkfok
Also, does anyone know how many games were in the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons series besides:
Eye of the Beholder
Eye of the Beholder 2
Dragons of Flame
Many Thanks

Heroes of the Lance
Champions of Krynn
Death Knights of Krynn
Dark Queen of Krynn
Pool of Radiance
Curse of Azure Bonds
Secret of the Silver Blades
Pools of Darkness
Gateway to the Savage Frontier
Treasures of the Savage Frontier
And there was a "Dragon <fill in the blanks>" in which you ride a dragon. It was an action game though. Dragon Strike?

I'm sure it was Dragon Strike :D
I've uploaded the manuals of these games a short time ago. You must have them to play the games! I can reupload them if you'd like to play some of these.
Some of them can be found here (http://www.amigamos.com/manuals.shtml) but not all!

there´s also Buck Rogers - Countdown to Doomsday from SSI which was an AD&D game ;)

Yes the game is called Dragon Strike. It's a dragon simulator apparently. Also there is another AD&D game on the Amiga called Shadow Sorceror. Here are the main Dizzy adventure games on the Amiga:
Treasure Island Dizzy
Fantasy World Dizzy
Magicland Dizzy
Spellbound Dizzy
Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk
Crystal Kingdom Dizzy
Fantastic Dizzy

You're having a laugh aren't you RetroMan!
"there´s also Buck Rogers - Countdown to Doomsday from SSI which was an AD&D game"
Since when is Buck Rogers a Dungeons & Dragons game! :laughing
What the hell is Dragons of Flame? That was never an AD&D game. I'd liked to be proved wrong though. :)

Buck Rogers is made by SSI and uses the same engine with the Goldbox games so gameplay is similar but it's NOT a D&D game. There's no indication of dungeons and dragons in the game. It just says "a science fiction computer role-playing game"
By the way, the manuals are on the zone again.

Ohhhh well, back to basics :( Since Buck Rogers uses AD&D system for fights and charakters, it´s an AD&D game IMO ! Think it depends on which side of life your looking at it ;)
Btw. I bought Buck Rogers for C64 some weeks ago and there is a SSI cataloge included : Dragons of Flame IS released as AD&D game and I found one more not listed above : HILLSFAR

I forgot about Hillsfar. :P It's an easy game to forget. :laugh
Can someone upload Dragons of Flame to the zone. It's the first time I've heard of it. Thanks. :)

Too bad some of the newer AD&D stuff never made it to the Amiga, like the Dark Sun series and Menzobaranzon, a Dark Elf rpg. I've got a ton of PC disks as well but this was when most of the game publishers were going over to the dark side and publishing for DOS and Windoze :crying
Please lemme know if any of these, especially anything from SSI, made it over to the Amiga after 1994 or so.

I posted a non-TOSEC version to the Zone, which I was unable to get to work (it always hangs at track 67...anyone else feel free to take a stab at it).
I also uploaded the Paranoimia version which behaves the same way (although it's not marked as [b] so there's something I must be missing. I do know that this game doesn't appear too happy about 1 meg of chip...

If I remember correctly, some of these titles from SSI, used absolute addressing and broke on machines with extra floppys and more then 512k of ram, also I think they required kick 1.2 only!!!
I think that Heroes of the Lance is the same way :sad

Wasn't there a "Giddy" game, which was in the Dizzy series? Or was it some cheap imitation?

No emulator problem :laughing
Press SPACE BAR when the game stops at track 67!
Game will go on then. It even works on WinUAE 0.8.8 R8. :)

Thanks, Andreas. I tried everything but that! :laughing
The game will, however, crash if you have more than 512k chip enabled.

Thanks guys. It's nice to find stuff you've never heard of before. Thanks for uploading it. I'll try it out a bit later and let you know how I get on with it. :)

@Twist
Nice to hear that it worked.
Yes, it's true: it crashes if you set more than 512K Chip RAM.
That's why BTTR says ocs13 instead of ecs13 :)
A clear proof that BTTR doesn't use a randomizer for assigning the config files <grin> ;):D

And also proof that there is a difference in OCS and ECS games, as discussed in a different thread (the Alfred Chicken thread).

Might be, but a guy from the German GAEB once said that the ECSxx configuration that BTTR uses is useless because they use ECS in combination with Kickstart 1.3.
He said that ECS must be used with Kickstart 2.0 to have any visible effect. I don't think that he just had in mind to fudge a cock'n bull story for fun...this might as well be the very truth (tm)!
RetroMan

That would be easy to proof :) just get a game that runs ECS and 1meg chip only, then use once Kick 1.3 then Kick 2.0 and you got the solution or what ?
