Dr BOng you are a superstar! many thanks!
Now though I need some help! I got the free MAC os 7.53 which comes in 19 parts. These are sitting on my Amiga HDD. How the hell do I get them into a usable MAC installation?

Look on http://maconamiga.amigaworld.net
Lots of info there and bootable hardfiles!

If the files have a .sit extension, then you can use a sit dearchiver:
http://aminet.net/search?query=sit+mac
If not, then it's probably easier to use a bootable hardfile from the website suggested by Flashlab, just to get yourself started. Had a brief look at the website and it seems quite good.

Whever happened to Fusion PPC & or Jim Drew?
http://amiga.czex.com/local1999/19_11fusion.html a little news, but old...

Fusion PPC was released under the name iFusion. It didn't work with BlizzardPPC cards, only CyberstormPPCs. Graphics card support was also very limited. I never managed to get it to boot. One update was released for it, then Jim Drew disappeared up his own arsehole.

IIRC after blittersoft dropped support for ifusion the infamous Merlancia Inc. claimed to take over.
That of course never happened.
"Who the hell is Merlancia?" you ask?
This page may fill you in: http://www.merlancia.us/
Be prepared for some typical strory from Amigaland. :mad

Help!
I can't find the Fusion v3.2 app on the Magix FTP server - only the PCTask44.lzx and PCX_Crackpatcher.lzx, which were still in the Zone last time I checked.
Would you really upload Fusion v3.2 for me please? :help

thanks Laser, I will try it out.
@TCD, thanks for that, I dunno what I do to it - It is the magic of Amiga I suppose :) . It isn't overclocked or anything.
The tune is just an Audio replacemnt provided by Youtube as the audio on my vid was cocked up by my kids fighting!
TheCyberDruid
19 November 2008, 23:30
Yeah, it must really be the magic of Amiga :) The game runs really smooth on Fusion :agree
So the music wasn't intentional? Well, have to say these replacement tunes aren't bad and this one really fits your vid ;)

Gosh, i hate to say this guys, specially since i'm a newcomer...
Fusion again in the zone pleeez?
I've been trying to set ShapeShifter and Basilisk with no results.
I put the prepareEmul fine into C: the corresponding library into Libs:
I've edited the startup-sequence and added C:PrepareEmul 1200 just at the top of the file
and just followed by C:SetPatch QUIET
But ANYTIME i try to open Basilisk or ShapeShifter i've got the same error requester...
"PrepareEmul is not installed"
Rats! what am i doing wrong?

Hi DyLucke,
welcome to the EAB :)
Fusion is of course back in the zone ;)
zipper
21 November 2008, 07:35
Wasn't it <prepareemul A1200> ?
as a matter of fact I ran both Shapeshifter and Fusion with reservecold from Fusion; prepareemul didn't work for Fusion.
DyLucke
21 November 2008, 11:05
I don't think so zipper, but of course i could be wrong... if i put <A1200> instead just <1200> i get yellow blinking screen with non-booting result. Same error i got using
some other utility to replace PrepareEmul.
By the way i'm actually using WinUAE to set this system (4GB CF) into the miggy, maybe is some kind of emulation problem? However i hope Fusion (TY CyberDruid) will work plus setting memory for Shapeshifter use with no more problems.
Other thing that i'm actually wondering is after 10 years out of the Amiga scene i've noticed i don't remember quite much, i think there were some problems using Blizzard accelerators with the PrepareEmul utility (and that was my hardware back, then and actually too)... Plus AFAIK i think i'll need an MMU in order to make a proper use of these Mac emus ...to speed up the chunky-planar conversion?
Cheers.

Perhaps something is occupying the particular memory area that the command is trying to use - rom to fast programs, older oxypatcher or something like.
DyLucke
21 November 2008, 13:11
I really dunno... I'm using the AmigaSYS4 distro with OS3.1 and i was quite surprised it came with all the libs and commands used for Mac emulation embedded... As long as this distro is relativelly new i do suppose all libs and commands included are updated versions. Till now every program i installed that asked me to overwrite files included in this distro found all files were newer than the originally provided by programs.
Cheers

I have a version, but for some reason some of the files are missing - probably due to the disk crash I had!
Thanks in advance,
