Don't directly type your signature. If you want one, configure it in your UserCP (http://eab.abime.net/usercp.php?s=)

Quark is just a desktop publishing tool so "graphic design" is a general term.

Wasn't it always a contest between PageSetter & PagePro (or something similar to that) ?

The best *page* design program (as opposed to *graphic* design program) would be Pagestream.
This one is commercially and still actively developed. A full version of an v2.2 (old) kann
be found on one of the CU Amiga Coverdisks, if memory serves me right...

Art Effect is the Photoshop clone, Photogenics is the awesome paint package from Paul Nolan.

I like it better than Photoshop

thinlega sounds like you want a Program like Pagestream 4.0, it is still avail for Amiga, Mac & PC. It is still sold and supported at
http://www.grasshopperllc.com/
If you can't afford 4.0 I think 2.2 is avail for Amiga from them for $20, it is powerful as well. I used it for years.
If you are more into Structured drawing then check out something like DrawStudio 2 or Provector 3.
