One of the sites is 'pay only' downloads. (Amiga Power (http://www.amigapower.tk/amigapower_members.htm))
I think that should be added into list as well.
I tried to edit it but I can't figure it out. :sad

Yeah, I discovered last night that the site was now asking people to register and pay a small price for it.
What's worse is that it's done through the phone.... I haven't done this sort of thing before and I just don't know if I can trust it somehow. :(
It's a shame as they host a good deal of old HDFs too!

You'll have to pay 0.47 GBP for a lifetime membership... This is really dangerous :shocked :banghead :banghead
Come on this small amount can't be the problem, go ahead an call them if you wanna download.;)

Well, so long as there aren't any hidden charges or anything...... the bit where it mentioned 20 minutes or summat kinda irked me a tad.

I'd just stay well clear if I was you :)
It can all be found elsewhere!

All it can be find elsewere and fee for programs made by others is just wrong IMHO.

Well, it seems I can't register anyway - as I just remembered that 09 numbers are blocked on our phone system here at home! :(
They appear to be the only site to house those HDFs as well. Their "forum" link leads to nowhere either! And I can't seem to find any way to contact them otherwise. They're bloody useless!

Well, it wasn't actually too hard in the end. Registered through my mobile (after unlocking premium access on it of course)!
From what I've learnt, the process is very quick, they don't make you stay on the phone for 20 minutes or whatever, the overall cost was literally less than 50p, and the rest of the registration process was done online.
I wonder whether I should grab all the downloads and mirror them elsewhere to make everyone else happy though.........
You could make me happy by changing your signature.

What's wrong with it? It's been like that for five years or so, haha.
Well it's very annoying. And yes, it's been bugging me for years :)

Shit, I had only 1 day weekend?! (had to work on Saturday?!) :blased
I'll try to edit it again. :)
Now I can't open wiki.
Wiki is working, and you should be able to edit it by login with your EAB's account there. (after joining the Wiki editor group)

It's already there under Where can I download Amiga Games/Demos/Software from? (http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:games_download): ;)
1. Try one of the big ADF archive websites:
<blah>
For WHDLoad games, see section Download WHDLoad Amiga Games (http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:download_whdload) for links

While I understand this sentiment where does it end? I dont mind payin out here and there for quality stuff but if people are to accepting about paying out cash for stuff every 2 bit money grabber out there is going to be exploiting for this that and the next thing(My guess is the person probably made a call that they would get away with it and they went ahead, I mean selling your own software is one thing but I think the discussed issue above is kinda bad , I mean you add up all the crap you get hit with by browsing the web, everybody wants your dam money and its getting less and less a FREE web as a whole)imo the whole web is heading down this route to the point of ridiculousness[rich mans web/poor mans utter crap version of the web in a while, thats what I think will happen but that is a slightly broader issue]

They had that to cover server cost, the way I understood it.
I believe they don't charge anymore for downloads.

They are still charging to download CD32 ISOs. I attempted to download one to see what would happen and I got this:

This was one of the things we have taken for granted from Paul (RIP). I miss that pal.

Thought I should mention that the site seems to have gotten rid of the payment system altogether.
Everything is now downloadable without any charge, including CD³² ISOs.
I think it's been like this for quite a while now, actually.
