"Commando" from Elite works with WinFellow, but I can't get the screen centered vertically. Tried it with different versions of WinUAE but after the title screen it stops loading.
Anyone got a working WinUAE config?

Hopefully you don't have the QUARTEX version I've just uploaded for you.
"Capcom USA" tells me it could be a US version.
Looks great, anyhow. :)
Works without any special stuff in WinUAE 0.8.8 R8 - just tested.

I already have that version, but thanks anyway!
There must be SOMETHING different with my config, because I can't get it to work in WinUAE 0.8.8 R8. Could you attach your config file please?

"Commando" needs 100% accurate sound emulation. That's all... ;)

Thanks. I thought it was a more subtle reason (Blitter and so on).

Pardon my ignorance here, but why would sound emulation affect the screen display?!?

It wouldn't. However, some games have the weird characteristic that they don't play any sound at all if sound emulation is not set to 100% accurate. This affects most old games with "cheap" sound. Some Kingsoft games from '86 or '87 I know do all have the same issue.
Usually, if these games don't play any sound at the title screen, you can't play the game because it doesn't wait for joystick interrupts anymore (e. g. fire button). I don't know it exactly, but I presume it's because it's caught in an infinite loop.
