I can do this fine in winuae, but I want to do the same in winfellow cos its much better emulation and more games work..
I want to try dungeon master 2 (HDD only) cos the doors dont work on winuae.

Theres a Hard File tab and a File System tab, are these both for hdd use?
In File system, I have to type the Volume name, and Root Path, I have no idea what to put here :(
Ive tried everything I can think of, the HDD never appears when I then load workbench

The filesystem tab is for using a directory on your PC's harddisk as an Amiga harddisk. The Hard File tab is for using special hardfiles (you can use the ones you created in WinUAE).

To use a directory of your PC's HD, place it's location in the Root Path box, and a volume name (e.g "Work") in the other box.

Using a directory has the disadvantage of not completely supporting the Amiga filesystem - for example, you cannot use file comments, or certain protection bits (I believe). But then, a directory never akes up more space than you use, unlike a hardfile.

Dugeon Master 2 probably won't work in WinFellow as it doesn't support the AGA chipset yet, your problem has been fixed as Burseg has already said, upgrade to the latest WinUAE 0.8.17r3 and that annoying door problem will be gone.

No on to your original problem, do as TikTok say's, use your WinUAE created hardfiles:D
