Possible to update an already installed game?

I'm just getting into this WHDLoad business... just got my registration... it's a great little program!

I've got a few pre-installed games from various sites, but looking at whdload.de, some of them have had newer installs created.
Seeing as I don't actually have the disks, is it possible to update the already installed version in some way?

You should study the readme's carefully. Mostly the patcher mention it if the game needs a re-install. When not, replace the old slave with the new one.
