Hey folks!
New to this forum, but I've always been reading material here from time to time to remind myself how fantastic the amiga was back in the day...
I'm wondering if someone could help me with a conundrum... I understand how Amiga mods can be unpacked accordingly, but I'm trying to work on a new music project which involves using L.E.D Storm's .cust files.
I undertsand that exotica (http://www.exotica) provides the cust file, and I have no problem playing it in either Eagle Player or Deliplayer, but the problem arises when I try to do two things:
1. try to unpack the instrument files inside the cust file.
2. attempt to mute any of the 4 tracks/voices (in order to record each channel out)
It seems the players cannot do any more than play the full file from start to end (which is ultimately their job).
At a push I tried seaching protracker.de to see if there's a compatible tracker, or at least an extraction tool, but there doesnt seem to be anything in particular that supports LED Storms format.
So why is this all important? Well, I've gotten through a phase where I've started remixing tracks that brought back a lot of memories for me. LED Storm wasnt a great game, but it had a fantastic soundtrack... so I'm hoping ot find a way to unpack the instruments and create an updated version of it for remix64.
Any help or information would be absolutely fantastic. Any remixes I do I'll obviously post here if people are interested.
Here's an example track I did of Arkanoid (should be up on remix64/remix.kwed.org soon). Used various bits of vintage equipment. http://www.obscuresounds.com/audio/nostalgique.mp3.
