From a very quick read through the list I think this would be cool:

action fighter fairlight plus4 trained version

The reason why I say this is that the trained version on PlanetEmu has a error (although bippym kindly fixed this for me :great)

I nice addition to have though... If you don't mind uploading to The Zone! that would be very cool please sir ;)

Thanks thevoice.
Unfortunately this version of "Auf der Suche nach dem Vogel der Zeit" is another bilingual (EN-DE) version, which does not (yet) justify the existence of a separate HOL entry!

I hope someday someone will come up with the Germany-only box of the game, otherwise I'll delete the entry for good, since according to the rules we would merge bilingual (EN-XX) versions into the entry of the english version!

"Buck Rogers - Planet of Zoom" is a very naughty game hack.
Nothing else like Mission Andromeda (Demonware) (http://hol.abime.net/2494).

[edit] The disk IS already in TOSEC (1b916d71). To check whether it is included or not, it is mandatory to compare the CRC32 of the ADF, not of the DMS, i. e. to unpack the DMS first.

Hello thevoice,

Was just about to grab a few of your uploads from The Zone! and noticed that they're gone... Did you manually delete them? :crying

thevoice
27 November 2006, 20:35
yes, i removed them manually. i will go throug my collection again after the next official tosec .dat. several of my uploads are included into wip .dat from oct 20 anyway. so im now a bit confused what is in already and what is not.

after some irc convo i made a part of my .dms ~7k of them to .adf and rebuild them against the wip .dat which let me end with ~2.2k of .adf not recognized by any .dat i have. the funny thing is some were recognized as [a] or something of disks already in tosec. but many of them came from different cracks. so im again unsure what to do now. put the whole clean release into the zone ? put in only the unrecognized disks and post the wrong [a] into the name correction thread ?.

overall its a bit to confusing for me.

Ok, no problem ;)

Unfortunately I didn't grab "action fighter fairlight plus4 trained version" though, can you please upload this one again if it's not too much trouble?

Also, noticed that you removed some of your posts from this thread i.e. the list... Personally I would leave all posts here for reference / historic reasons, doesn't matter if you find something out afterwards that makes them not totally "correct" (for want of a better way to word this) :cheese

some were recognized as [a] or something of disks already in tosec. but many of them came from different cracks. Often only the first disk is modified by crackers and the disk 2,3,.... of a game are the same for different cracks/versions. Also important, the [a] is some kind of a time-stamp.

so im again unsure what to do now. put the whole clean release into the zone ?I once started a thread to identify all the original scene releases (the dms files) among Tosec. You can read it here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=22603
Still a project in the work since i had also some thousand disks left after a Tosec scan and i'm still renaming them for Tosec inclusion... :rolleyes:D
put in only the unrecognized disks and post the wrong [a] into the name correction thread ?:agree

thevoice
28 November 2006, 09:27
so i will run xdms again vs my .dms and restart the whole thing again.

Adderly

In future we will have a tag in the Tosec names for scene original dms releases!
Please keep your dms files as they will become important. I have most of my dms files with AGA stuff sorted in that threat, more to come, but it's very time consuming and i spend my time preferable in renaming of unknown disks.
Personally i think it's very important to have the correct set of disks from a crack. The sets are spread amongs the [a]'s in the Dat and that is soooo awfully...

thevoice
28 November 2006, 16:27
agreed. most of the multidiskers got shuffled when they were uploaded somewhere on the web. also all the disks with saved highscores. there the original bbs upload could kill a lot of [a] in the collection. then we only have to get rid of all the heroic startup sequence edited "releases" and the ones from the weel known crackstealers. and end up with a nice collection.

anyway to be honest this is exactly what i do atm with all my archives for my own enjoyment.

post your results m8, we are listening. :)

What's already in tosec will remain, the only thing will change are the alt flags!

If you have an original scene release that is unmodified then we are all ears :D
