Wanted this problem separate from my other thread.

Found a .dmf (packed amiga disk image) file on ftp.scene.org which might contain one of my old old demos.

WinUAE doesn't see it, how do I unpack/convert .DMF to a file I can emulate?

I've never seen a DMF file before... maybe if you upload it to the zone we can have a look at it and try to find a solution :)

DMF is the file extension for the Packed Amiga disk image file. It is also the file extension for the X-Trakker music module associated with MOD.

I've never seen a DMF file before...
Same :shocked

...and using this site it doesn't suggest any programs to be used for opening:

Upload it to the zone, one of us will be able to sort it :)

Judging by the words XTRACKER in the start of the file I'd say it was a music piece... not a disk image after all :( That and Laxity/Kefrens is credited with the samples ;)

Yep, plays fine with Deliplayer.

doh! ok ok I yield hehe :) I do have DeliPlayer, but since the icon next to the file was the 'unassigned' type I never tried it.

Listened to, it, sounded ok but it was cut off after one or two minutes. Is this the kind of trackdisk where a whole song is sampled in high quality and put on tracks for real-time replay?

Or is X-tracker a Soundtracker-like Amiga program? Google reports dubious answers, there is an Xtracker utility for PC and an Amiga module player for Sun stations running X.

Thanks for all the help guys!
