Stuck in Indy 4 Adventure

I've been playing this game, and now I am dead stuck in Argelia.

I am playing the cooperative path (i.e. , Indy and Sophia together)

I've already got the sunstone in Monte Carlo, then I went to Argelia. I've already got the ballon ticket, and I believe I have to cut the rope and fly with the ballon to the german dig site. I don't have any object to cut the rope, and I believe I will get this when I make Sophia volunteer tot the knives thrower show, and I believe that to do that, I have to make him STOP playing with his knives, as Sophia is scared when she sees that, but I haven't found a way to do that yet.

Am I close to the solution? Any tips are very welcome (And I would like more a direction to the solution than the plain solution)

I believe you have to push sophia when you're trying to get her to "voulenteer". Not quite sure, but I think it's somewhere along those lines.

Indy 4. Yet another game I have on CD with speech which I can't play because my soundcard freezes the computer.

Have you entered the game's configuration and correctly entered your sound card settings? Set the buffer to 8 or 16.

I know somewhat what is causing my problem. It's the darn Sounblaster Live! or at least it's dos drivers. It does that with a lot of games when I try running them in dos.

shaterhand: I think you have to talk to teh guy so he stops, and then push Sophia. Then again, I do not know if you have to cut the rope, I just cant remember how I passed this bit!

ALGIERS

In Algiers, go all the way to the left and into the back alley. Go into
Omar's Antique Shop. Get the mask. Omar will stop you; just ask him how
much the mask cost and he'll give it to you free. Now talk to the
knife thrower. And he'll say that he needs a volunteer. Then talk to
Sophia and tell her how safe it is and how dexterous the knife thrower is.
When Sophia's walks up to the knife thrower, PUSH her. And you'll get
a nice knife in return. Now fly to Monte Carlo.

Funny, I went to Monte Carlo first, and I already got the sunstone, I don't need to go to Monte Carlo again.

Also, there's other way to get the sunstone, using the mask you get in Algeria, but I won't bore you guys with that :)
