Now that I am finally owner of a working A-1200 I am searching for some games as food for the hungry machine :)
And since I don't have no hd ( at least not yet ! ), I am looking for the disk version of 'Litil Divil'.
I am sure a disk version exists because I once saw it lying around on one ftp but stupid me didn't download it because I thaught I would never in 1000 years be rich enough to afford a A-1200.
But now I made one working machine out of 2 cheap damaged ones :)
Btw, it was something between 11 or 13 diks...

Thanks for any help !

Hmmm, are you sure this "disk version" wasn't just the CD³² version crammed into LHAs on several disks (I've seen most so-called "floppy conversions" like this at several places)? Or are we talking a genuine rare floppy version here?

I hope not !
But I already found someone who has all disks and I maybe will have them by tomorrow.
Will check it as soon as I have it :)

Could you upload them if it's a disk version and not just a CD32 version?

Ok, I got the disks now.
But, sadly, you guys were right, it's only a HD version put on 14 disks.
So I think it's time for me to get some old laptop hd for my A-1200 baby :)

How disappointing, dude. I was really hoping it would be a genunine floppy version as well.

I think Litil Divil was a CD32-only release.

There was a version kicking around that you had to install onto your hard drive, but I could never get it to work. I think it was cracked across from the CD32.

I think I still have this somewhere.

Yep, it was a CD rip, like many others. No litil divil for normal meegas.

Hmm, does that mean that the game even will not work on my A-1200 at all ? Even if I copy the content of all disks to hd and try to start it from there ?
I thaught a A-1200 with a cd-rom could play CD-32 games...
So if a CD-32 CD is dumped to a hd it should work on the A-1200, too.
Or am I wrong here ?

Not exactly. Some games will work, and some won't-. Mainly those who use the Akiko chip won't work, even with those emulators. Or they at least won't work well.

This is why I am not decided yet, as to buy a 1200 or a CD32... you can convert the CD32 in a full-fledged A1200 (provided you get an SX32 module), but you can't convert a 1200 in a full-fledged CD32...

A lot of games will work anyway, you are losing nothing by trying :) If they CD ripped this game it's because it works on a 1200.

On another note, I took my 1084 to the TV repairman.... he said the flyback is dead :( But he will contact the guys selling HR Diemen flybacks and will fix it in two days, so I'll soon be having my 1084 again! I gave the dude a good hand, giving him the schematics and telling him where to order the HR Diemen flyback... anything to speed up the fixing time :)

62 dollars for the privilege, though :P But you know how I am, _anything_ to fix MY 1084 :) The 128 follows, I'm willing to pay top dollar to fix it.

HAve you taken your 1084 to the repairman? I suppose you havea dead flyback as well :(

Oh, again learned something :)
So I might get Litil Divil working ( hopefully I don't have the same version as Washac has.... ), and it would be great if Flink would work, since I have heard it should be a great game :)

Well, I haven't let my 1084 get fixed, yet.
But I got another 1084 ( This time a 1084S-D2 ) and it works great now. Luckily I could bring back that 1084 which broke after half an hour :)
Also I got a C= 1960 and a NEC Multisync 3D very cheap ( ~ 13 US$ each ) which have a great Amiga display :) I can also use them for the PC, since they are both Multisnyc monitors. Only disadvantage is they are RGB only ( therefore no C64 ) and have no speakers. But the Amiga sounds better if hooked up to the hifi anyway :)

But I will get the 1084 fixed for sure, even if I could get a complete A-500 & 1084S for about 20 US$ in auctions here....
( I'm happy that people here consider old C= equipment nearly worthless :))) )

Prolly because it doesn't use Akiko (more than probably)

Hello all :), was away for a while...

Litil divil works, a while ago I even got it running under uae but without sound... If you want to play it under uae, you have to use daemon tools to mount it the iso and then use a specif. AGA config.

I have the ripped version from the CD32 CD (It need to be installed on HD) and it run perfectly on my A1200. I tried it under WinUAE (0.8.16) and again it run very well (I dunno why but it losed the last 56 pixels from the inferior part of the screen) anyway it is perfectly playable on the emu (smooth anim and perfect sound).

Btw, Litil Divil was originaly planned for CD-I and Amiga CDTV but was delayed and delayed so it just came out for the CD32. I remember some screenshots from the original CDTV version wich were looking exactly like the CD32 version (thid one was released 3 years later!).
