Thought I would put some pics of my A600 as it currently stands:

Inside so far is:

clockport adapter (Not sure what to put on it yet, if anyone has something for sale..PM)
1mb ram expansion
1gb 2.5" Harddrive
Buffered IDE interface
Teac 224e cdrom
CD audio external ports

No accelerator here :nervous

Here is the back with the cdrom and some stereo port for cd audio out:

interesting rear loading, most i have seen are right left loading CD/DVD mods.

pretty cool I have to admit! well done smiley.

BTW did you get the CD/DVD ROM working in idefix97 ?

I have always wanted to MOD an A1200 so that the mouse / joy ports are on the side! its where they belong :)

May be of interest - esp if you're looking for uses for that nice new clock port :)

And thats where it stops. It should work as the only drives people seem to use in Amigas are Teac 224E. Someone said that you have to do a 3 finger salute and then it appears in findevice. But tbh I havnt played with it lately. I will get it fully working with a bit of determination :great

@Smiley:

Is there a need for a 50 pin to IDE adapter required for the CD rom mod ? It seems like there is but I cannot tell from the pictures.
Cheers,

All you need is JAE to 40 pin connector for the rom (you can use DVDRW's if you want)

just make sure the ROMS are ATAPI compliant.

I would recomend that one uses any buffered interface as this helps not only in keeping the data from getting garbled but more so allows for greater cable length etc..

so lets consider the following. (from our beloved ebay... ahhhh...)

heres a nice JAE

and a nice little dvd-cdrw

and to let it all happen

wanna save space consider these products instead of a hard disk

and of course

theres a nice little place to mount them (inspired by an ElectroBlaster idea see bottom pic)

one could make a nice little mod from that too... personally I cannot wait to see what ElectroBlasters come up with :)
