I see fedegaia is on the loose again... :p

@Fred (or anyone else): you guys should really check out the TOSEC dats ... if you need anything that's in one of those Amiga games dats, it's really easy to find that stuff on IRC (server irc.newnet.net). Basically any TOSECed game is available in one of the rom chans there ... you just have to know how to use an fserve. ;)

starblaze uploaded...hey morph72...what's your nick on irc?

I stumbled across the Starquake Remake site.

Apart from a remake probably in progress (Well the site was updated recently (Within a month ago)) there are screenshots from the Spectrum 48K, from the C64, from the BBC micro, From the Amstrad CPC and the Atari ST versions, but not from an Amiga version.

The versions there are screenshots from are also available for download there for emulators.

I was wondering if anyone knows for certain that it exists for the Amiga?

Oh yeah, the site adress is http://www.chlorophil.com/starquake/

@fedegaia: funnily enough... it's morph72!!! :D

if anyone needs a guide on how to find rom chans or how to use fservers, i can type sth up...

fedegaia
18 November 2001, 23:34
:D ...i have asked you because your nick is already used by other people on different servers...pssss...you should not let all people know about that irc channel or itll become too crowded...really...and then it'll be bad for all

morph72
18 November 2001, 23:44
I'm just mentioning it because some people seem to think a.b.e.m is the only way of getting TOSEC stuff... and I really don't think other people are using my nick on newnet, cause it's registered. :p

fedegaia
18 November 2001, 23:47
i said on DIFFERENT SERVERS...:p

fedegaia
18 November 2001, 23:51
i agree with you about the ways to get adf files
there are IRC-NEWSGROUP-FTP-ect...but many people just don't have enough time...:)

fedegaia

I haven't even grabbed headers for abem for weeks now because there has been so damn much flooding in abwa! My entire 40gig HD is almost all Amiga stuff at the moment.

I hadn't thought of grabbing the fills I need from irc. Great idea.

Hey, Morph...while you're here: how close are we to a new update for the game dats. Not in a hurry, mind you, I was just curious because I have a bunch more corrections for you, plus I have a crapload of unrecognized adf's (most of which I have already researched for you and made TOSEC-style names) and once I have completed running the remainder of my stuff through clrmamepro, I could maybe burn you a CD. But if new dats are on the burner and just around the corner, then I should maybe wait and see how much of the unrecognized stuff matches? You tell me...

Fedagaia, Morph, I am very thankful to you. You IRC guys are making me want to go out and try this IRC stuff.

Frederic, you should audit the above list and separate the FOUND ones so that when I get home from work, I can attempt to fill any holes that may have been left (if any)...

Twist, kind of you to aid in this quest!
I have taken your advice, mac:)

I uploaded a couple of your requests. I tried uploading two different cracks for Mystical. They both uploaded, but neither would display. When I tried re-uploading, I got an error message stating that the file already existed. ?!?!?

You wonderful spook:)
You and my other pals have come thru for me:)
This nearly completes what I have been looking for!
Once again, thanks, Twist!

I may have some more, which I will dig up when I get home. They're just in a different place (and I'm still at work, getting ready to go home.)

I've uploaded:

Bush Buck --From my original copy, but the protection questions are easy
Mystical
Space Station --Is this Space Station Oblivion?
Vector Championship Run --I assume it's the same as Vector Championship

So, RCK - any idea why the two copies of Mystical that I uploaded won't display or indicate that they've been uploaded?

The immortal question but it seems suitable here, does the mythical Amiga version of Vendetta (System 3), exist?

Speaking of MIA games, how has Akira's "quest" for Putty Squad been going? Given there's a few more members on EAB maybe someone new out there can shed some new information?:confused

Fred the Fop
20 November 2001, 06:13
Hey 7 Zark:)
Nope, no news I am afraid. Along with Night Raider, this game is vapourware, but I have a feeling they exist.

Maybe Galahad has some insight here. Those guys knew as much, if not more, of what was going on than the publishers themselves.

Twistin'Ghost
20 November 2001, 09:03
Fred, you need to add Space Station Oblivion back to your list. The Space Station that you have now is the platform space game from Paradox Software. The game you are looking for is the US version (by Epyx) of the European game Driller from Incentive Software. I'll just go ahead and upload Driller, if it's just the game you want. If you actually want a copy with the US title screen, all I have here is the original. I have a version DMS'd at the moment on my Amiga, just can't get to it...(yeah, yeah, yeah)

Damn...almost forgot. That disk Cody posted of Space Station...it is an unnamed compact featuring Fireblaster, Space Station and Screaming Wings+ - it contains the Blizzard 1.0 bootblock virus, so be careful with it. Just install over top of it and the disk will work fine.

that virus is nothing compared to the AIDS virus that destroyed a lot of my original disks

CodyJarrett

Ooops! Sorry for posting a virus infected disk - I forgot that it was one of the games in my virus posting.
