edit: BT CORE: tracker: "http://tpb.tracker.prq.to/announce" timed out, could not connecting to the tracker??? I know Pirates Bay is slow, hopefully this is only temporarily....

4 Peers in swarm, with Bippy as a seed, seems fine here, only getting 12KB down, but i am patient. (No errors from the tracker).

It unpacks here prefectly.. which rars are errored?

Also this morning there was 17 seeds.. now there is 1!!

This is the reason I didn't want to do this via torrents..

Which version of rar did you use? I have v3.51 one and it gives a kind of errors too mate....
I have unpacked it that worked but I got many warnings....

I seems to unpack fine just watching it..... but it showed me warnings...

Nice job that DVD :), if I add the torrent again can I make it that way seeding again? I will do it later since I already have a some uploads now...

Hmmm might have to down WinRAR 3.61 B3 than.... ah well it unpacks fine only it nags about:

This was compressed months ago before I got the latest version!

WinRAR only throws warnings about invalid authenticity information. The archive still extracts fine. You don't need to rearchive/reseed.

Might be something wrong here then... but on the page it says :

and when I try to connect to the tracker I get :

your torrent URL is correct tomcat666 it is questionable if your tracker is the best for job if you are having difficulties with this pirate bay file :sad

Have you had problems with pirate bay files before on it ? eg little speed or less than all available seeders ?

The tracker I mention is one I have changed to ,over shadows experimental BT as it is more controlable & easier to configure past routers etc..however if you are purely on a linux set up I cannot truthfully advise you...BUT perhaps other members can :agree

As this DVD is well worth having :great

I am currently downloading some torrents from pirategay (hehe) and they are downloading just fine, so I have no idea what problem this is...

Unfortunetly I can only dl torrents on a linux box far away from here :( So far only this ctorrent worked well from what I tried...

I can't wait to get this dvd, finally a good use for the dvd player at home ;-)

Correction: I am not downloading anything from piratebay :( I was wrong, I tried some other torrents and they indeed don't work :( Bleh...

Maybe this explains your tracker problems:

In the morning of 2006-05-31 the Swedish National Criminal Police showed a search warrant to Rix|Port80 personnell. The warrant was valid for all datacentres of Rix|Port80 and was directed at The Pirate Bay. The allegation was breach of copy-right law, alternatively assisting breach of copy-right law.
The police officers were allowed access to the racks where the TPB servers and other servers are hosted. All servers in the racks were clearly marked as to which sites run on each. The police took down all servers in the racks, including the non-commercial site Piratbyrån, the mission of which is to defend the rights of TPB via public debate.
According to police officers simultaneously questioning the president of Rix|Port80, the purpose of the search warrant is to take down TPB in order to secure evidence of the allegations mentioned above.
The necessity for securing technical evidence for the existance of a web-service which is fully official, the legality of which has been under public debate for years and whose principals are public persons giving regular press interviews, could not be explained. Asked for other reasoning behind the choice to take down a site, without knowing wether it is illegal or not, the officers explained that this is normal.
The TPB can receive compensation from the Swedish state in case that the upcoming legal processes show that TPB is indeed legal.

when i get the full download and after seeding for a while ill try uploading to torrent spy bit tied up at the mo cos my parnet keeps failing iv got three pc's connected to 3 A1200s transfering 3000+games all ADF via serial and its taking ages so only left with the laptop to download and upload files not as fast through wifi lol once i have the files can seed for weeks noproblem

...Then other people get the chance to see it. Torrents are totally useless as if nobody is seeding then it a waste of time :-D

... Start WinRAR and click Add.
... Select the Files tab, click Append and select the files you want to zip.
... Select the General tab, type in an archive name, type in the size in MB under the "Split to volume, bytes" area and click OK (see image below):

set compression method to best, slower but better anway :)
And for 200 MB you can actually split into 209.715 KB as this is accepted as 200 MB files for Rapidshare, so no need to split it into 200.000 KB files.

Uploads go to the FTP, I approve them and move them to the file server (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633). Normally you shouldn't download from the upload FTP ;)

Wow, been waiting to see this for quite some time !

Not sure it is the right thread :

DVD selection menu doesn't show up in VLC v1.05 (intro just loops)
May be the fact that the captures took place via a PC & WinUAE and not a miggy could have been mentioned (I don't care myself, but some purists do apparently)
Where are teh scanlinez (just joking !)

This doesn't affect the quality of your work at all, bippym I hope my remarks aren't out of place. Actually, it would be interesting to check the settings you used in your config, if you still have it. For one, I assume : no gfx filter, and A1200 audio filter.

Thanks Deli.. The dvd is now what 3-4 yrs old, and I did it using DVDLabPro so should work. You have to press OK on the frozen screen or fast forward past intro.

The captures tookplace on PC but I spent a LOT of time sorting them out, I had to re-centre and crop alot as winuae doesn't take borders that tv's have into account.

My settings were basic to get the demo working, all screen sizes were original overscan sizes etc.. No filters or anything!

May be reprocessing the sources via the latest version of DVDLabPro would ensure full compatibility with every major Win32 media players. As of now, skipping to the selection menu works with Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, but not with VLC, not on my computer at least (may be someone else can do that check). It's not frozen, it simply loops. Fast forward makes it loop faster !

I myself would use the A1200 audio filter if I manage to get something started in the next few months. If it doesn't slow down too much the captures, may be you could use it in volume 2, I find it smoothes music and audio effects quite nicely.

Another question : Weren't you planning for a Amiga games DVD ?
