OK, let's see who will be the first (if any) to guess the name of this game...
Fred the Fop

Kennedy Approach. (Or is it Tower Fra?).

Neither!

That would be too easy!

Let's see.. isn't it called Paragliding? It is an attempt to simulate parachute jumping. I think it was programmed by Loriciel in 1992.
By the way: If I am right, do I win a prize? ;)

You win £1 million if the game is Paragliding. Wrong simulation, though.
Oh, and the reason I didn't place this thread in the forum where it now resides was because I'm not looking for the name of the game because I know it; it's just a quiz, so I felt I had it in the proper place. But it works here, too, I suppose. :D
BTW: how long should I let this thing go before you guys quit?

I quit all the way at the beginning because I have no idea :D
Do you know it Cody?

Well, I wanted to let others have a chance first... ;)

Well, I was gonna say that here is just fine, but I looked up at the top and it is under the auspice of Games Req, which it really is not.

I have an idea :D
How about, every week one of these name the game things comes up, and when the game is found, the game is uploaded. Just for novelty, but will also help out a few
A weekly gameshow
Twistin'Ghost
14 November 2001, 10:13
Well, I do like the idea of having it as a weekly feature. We could mix it up and have some screenshots crippled and others not (the more obscure games). We also need to decide how to delegate who chooses which games. Obviously someone who is not going to put up an easy Xenon 2 or Populous shot. And it should probably cycle through different members, but how do we determine who?
Amigaboy

For the rare games, it would be best to show the entire screenshot since most of us have never seen half of the games
For the known games, only show a portion.
eg.

Yep :D

I've just uploaded Airport!
Brilliant idea indeed AmigaBoy!
But we should determine the rules of this game as Twistin' Ghost previously noticed!:)

I moved it because Andrea's quiz back then was at the Name the Game section...
Blargh...:D
Plausible, but if I really decide to change my gender, be sure I'm gonna give you the information in time! :laugh

The game is Warhead, but you can give the prize to someone else!

s4murai:
Yes, use my CoolSpot configuration from this thread (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1705) with WinUAE 0.8.17 R2! :)
Works great.

Or better yet, just use a standard A500 config, with more compatability mode selected (You probably don't even need to do that).
If your talking about WinFellow, then it's just the same, use a config that matches an A500:)
I must have a special build of the latest WinUAE or something as I have no need for any "special" configs anymore, with just three configs I get most of my games running.
And Cool Spot is another fine example of a game that needs a standard Amiga config, this time an A600 one, certainly nothing special.

All I can say is it works for me:)
Turn off Fast DMA access (If you have it on) and use kick 1.3 --> 68000 CPU set to 7 mhz, I have max bogo mem and max chip mem in my config, don't know if that makes a difference though, try it:)
If you can't get it to work I'll post a config in the Zone for you:)

Could it be that you guys are running two different versions/cracks of Cool Spot? There was a Prodigy crack as well as the Delight crack that I am aware of.
