What version are you using? I have the version which is recognised by Tosec (no cracking group given so I assume it's an original). Can upload if you want (preferably not all 12 disks though cos I'm on a 56K connection :) ).

I have just went through a (PAINFUL) process of elimination and when I acess the phone it asks for disk 5. When I insert it, Willy walks over and then the screen becomes garbled. Does this make any sense my friend?
Cheers in Advance...
P.S. There is no indication that it is a cracked copy

Doozy, there was a couple of disks in the distributed files of that game that have caused problems for users. Those are disk 5 and disk 9. Since you will also run into a wall with disk 9 later on, I am posting both disks for you to replace yours with. Let me know how this works for you.

I bought the original of this game off EBay and as I was going through the disks, I found out they ALL (well, except 1 disk) have read errors all over them :(

What a gyp! Maybe the person who sold them to you used Disk2FDI on them first. :D

Say Twistin'Ghost-just a quick question-did that come from the Willy Beamish game you thought you had somewhere? I had this very same issue a 2 or 3 months ago & I recall an EAB member called Andreas who mentioned some of these bugs-at the time you said you thought you might've had the originals yourself?
I think the Disk9 issue was a minor GFX bug as he'd described it, but if I recall, it didn't crash the game like the phone/disk 5 bug did.
Gotta get back that game again when possible-I got stuck trying to work out if Willy had to steal his sister's diary or not.
:D
Amigaboy-with that latest avatar I bet you could!!:p

As I recall, there was two different instances where someone complained about issues in this game and in both cases, it was resolved with alternative disks. I can't remember the details, nor even where the disk images came from. I was just glad that TOSEC marked these disks with the [a] flag when I passed them through, otherwise, I would not have used the TOSEC names until they put some indication in there.
I have a PDF map for Willy Beamish if you want me to upload it.
By the way, anybody else notice the similarity in Willy Beamish and Bobby Brady?

@Doozy:
The search option can do miracles :D

That's the actual problem - like I was pointing out there, a 100% disk 5 is still missing!
There are TWO "versions" now:
[VERSION 1] When Willy goes out to play with his sister at the swings, the graphics at the upper part are broken.
EVERYTHING else doesn't cause any problems.
[VERSION 2] When Willy tries to use the answering machine, the game crashes, BUT: when he takes his is sister to the swings, the graphics errors mentioned in version 1 do NOT appear.
I know someone has a 100% copy of W.B. disk 5, but no one has exclaimed "Here!" by now. :)
Maybe now...

Twistin-if it's no trouble, a PDF map/help file would be great!! Thank you!!:D
Andreas-D'oh! why didn't I think of that! Guess I thought it'd been deleted as part of the threads clean-up for old stuff!
