View Full Version : WinUAE floppy drive sound emulation

I think the floppy drive sound needs to be more versatile. Rather, instead of just the A500, why not the A1000? (since that is what I own). Or why not the A1200?

There should also be a separate sound emulation for the external drive as well; the external disk drive that I own makes a loud gronk gronk noise similar in sound to a duck. I think that's pure nostalgia right there if those little things are added in. Remember, it's the little things that count.

Other amiga/floppy models simply need the correct samples recording, and then processed into the right files for use with WinUAE.

If you can record samples of a full format of a floppy from each of your drives (including inserting the disk), and stick em in the zone or somthing, I can then process the files, and maybe get somthing running...

(A full 84 tracks format if your drive supports that would be preferred - use xcopy or a tool that lets you do that)

I can record sound files, if that's what you mean. If you can make WinUAE sound like my old A1000, you are a God. Thank you.

Mine is a Chinon 880k disk drive. I just found this out.
