What FileSystem?

I have been trying to read 800MB CD-RW's on my A1200.
I have a Quad Speed IDE ATAPI CD-ROM.
If I change my filesystem, will this help?
If I upgrade to OS 3.1 or 3.5 will this help?
Please reply if you have had this problem or better still if you know how I can combat this problem.

Ah, I see you have found the source of the problem. AFAIK, the only solution to this will be a BIOS upgrade for your CD drive. I had the same problem with my smelly old CD-R drive a while ago. Of course, the chances of finding a flashing program that will run under Workbench are......slim :( You could connect the drive to a Windows machine temporarily, but if you know it works fine on the Amiga with 650MB cds, why not just stick to them?
