It's definatly not what I was expecting to see, I mean it's almost as if they decided to keep the top down view on purpose;)
Great to see that they haven't completely fudged it up by trying to stick millions of useless camera angles that annoy the hell out of me:evilgrin
This looks like what a remake of a classic should be, vastly improved GFX and little change in the overall style of the game.
Lets hope it plays the same as the classic version:D

I must admit I don't like to see Steve Screech doing the game.
I always thougt Kick Off 1 & 2 weren't THAT good, and when Dino Dino worked without him, he made his best game: Goal! (That one is excellent, IMO)
Steve Screech also did the crap Tip Off and the horrendous Kick Off 3... so, I don't know...
Has anyone ever played Kick Off 97? Who did it?

Hmm , I tried real hard to get into sensi soccer ,but I kept coming back for kick off2 ,Me and about 5-6 other mates used to gather round at weekends and host a league ,it was a right laugh oo fun days indeed...
I always thought that although ko2 was faster it also required more skill because the ball could easly do anything without warning (I still dont like the velcro footy games these days).
I particularly liked running straight at goal holding down fire to trap the ball watching defenders slide tackle past too early and then banging em in... crosses were difficult though!...

The new Kick Off game does have the same style of play in general, but with some extra features. Steve tried to copy Kick Off 2 as much as he could, so even if Dino Dini was involved in the game, I think it wouldn't differ much from the version Steve is making. In fact, Steve doesn't make the game by himself alone, because the game is inspired by 10 beta-testers. The beta-testers wanted the game to feel like Kick Off 2, the beta-testers have sent many bug reports and tips just as long the game felt like Kick Off 2 and I can say, this is definitely the case.
btw: next weekend the Kick Off tournament will be held in Dartford (near London). 34 people from all over the world will join this tourney and I will be one of them. Steve will also show some of the developments of the new game. He also wants to invite the press etc.. to bring some publicity to the game which will be available for PC, PS1 and PS2.
