Problem Disk 3 Dark Queen of Krynn

Ok I am 0 for 2 so far. Maybe this time.

Has anyone got a working disk 3 of Dark Queen of Krynn. I have down loaded this so many times and every one has errors on disk 3

I posted the *hopefully* correct disk 3 to THE ZONE, please tell me if it works, cause I had no time to test .....

Thanks for trying Retroman. I did note you had a go at the Ultima one too. Jut not my weekend. Looks like being 0 for 3 now. It doesn't see disk 3 and it has the same errors.

Only chance now is someone make a new adf I recon. :sad

Uhm, strange ..... I just tested the third disk I uploaded (yep, I found some spare time :D) and it´s working without ANY error :confused Where exactly and what error do you get ?

The errors are in files in dir called Disk 3, both ECL.GLB and GEO.GLB are shoot. Take it from me the game will fold when you find them. Just try to copy them to a hardrive.

Sorry been to work. Looks like some people get to surf all day. I say no names! ;)

Uhm, well....... I see the point (I just tested) but the game itself runs fine here :confused at which point does the game crash ? maybe you have a save game ???

If you leave it running at the start after about the fourth intro screen it says insert disk3. I assume thats one of the errors showing up (GEO.GLB i think). Take it from me it also crashes in the game after an hour or so (ECL.GLB).

I think we need a new adf or at least is someone can copy a working ECL.GLB and GEO.GLB on a disk and then we can make a new disk 3 as it's not protected...

A question for you retro. Do you know of a list of Amiga tiles that don't run on the emulators yet? Along the lines of BTTR games list??

Sorry, I don´t know of any list, just ask some other people here, like Cody, Andreas or Twistin (and all those I have forgotten ;) ) BUT I finally managed to get a 100% working disk 3 of Dark Queen of Krynn, it´s in the ZONE :D I copied ALL files from that disk to HD and NO checksum error or anything else ..... so ENJOY !!!!

Thanks for trying. Still chucks up when you click past the intro and the old insert disk 3 appears. Give it a try. Boot up with all three disks in and at the second page of credits when you hit the tit you will get the message.

AHHHHHRG :( Please try copying the two files you mentioned to the HD ..... it DEFINITELY works here :confused maybe you can manage to build a correct disk (even if I still think my second image is ok :() but if NOT I will post those two files stored in a zip .....

OK, I uploaded the files from the "Disk 3" directory in a ZIP file ..... NOW TRY IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crying

May be ok on the CRC but the game don't like it when it's running. Still chucks up when you click past the intro and the old "insert disk 3 appears". Does the same when installed on the harddrive. Files as you say copy fine so maybe it's just the emu as I haven't had a go on a real miggy.

Drop me your email and I will send you what I got. Take a look if you want or I wouldn't worry. Who's going to play it anyway?

Hey, the complete KRYNN-Series rox :) So does Buck Rogers, which uses the same Engine anyway ..... oh btw. just post what you got into "the zone" :) I´ll pick it up and take for a test ride ;)
