View Full Version : Slowdowns on whdload...

I noticed this the day I installed my bppc:
in many games (like turrican 1/2 which come in mind) when there is a lot of sprites on the screen, the speed drops, like I have an action replay and push the SLOW button... also the intro of turr2 plays considerably slower (making the music sound lame) and I have noticed some jerkyness on Shadow of the Beast 3 , too... why is this happening? I don't run any "exotic" things on my system, only driver related things, like the ata3.driver for the fastata, bppcfix, and cgx4 ... any ideas?
Thanx! :spin

Thats a nice feature of the 040 since the 040 chipmem write speed without caches is slower then a basic 68000. youll find its not just turrican thats affected, any game that dissabled caches will exibit the above effects.

youve probably already found you need the chipnocache tooltype enabled by default in the whdload.prefs file for stability on the bppc cards.
