View Full Version : Does anyone know

There was an adventure game, early nineties, had something to do with Frankenstein, you started in a room in a house with only a window and door, you couldn't open either of them. So I gave up.
Having just completed monkey island (without tips), I decided to dig this out of my collection, but it's disappeared, I probably chucked it in disgust.
If anyone has this game, please upload it to the zone.

The Final Battle starts in a locked room with a locked door.

So did Lure Of The Temptress:

It could have been Waxworks.
If it is none of these, can you give us some more information on the game: what type of adventure (text, point and click?) etc.

And all this should be in the 'Looking for a game name?' forum ;)

ok lemme throw in two names as well:
Fright Night or Knightmare.
I only played Knightmare on the C64, so I don't know if it's the same game.

Thanks everyone for your help, but the game is nowhere to be found.
Perhaps its my memory playing tricks with me but I'm certain Frankenstein was mentioned in the title.

Give us some more clues about the gameplay, game type, company etc...
The only Amiga game I know of with Frankenstein in the title is 'Frankenstein', a platformer.

I have no idea about the company name, all I can remember is that it was a text based adventure and as I never get off the first screen I don't even know if the game was any good. The cover on the box had a picture of a severed head.
All I can say for definate, is that it is at least 10 years old as this was in my collection before I got married and moved away, out of London.

Cody, you have quite a list there, I recognise some of them but they are not the game in question, thanks for your help but I'm giving up on this one.
Retroman, I like the look of the covers, are the games any good, I wouldn't mind spending a few hours on them.
As I mentioned to Cody, thanks, but I'm giving up.

Mark - the games that Retroman mentioned are Infocom games, so they are all pretty good. It's best to get an interpreter like Frotz to play them:
