@Duke
Heh... that would be nice to keep HOL up-to-date almost realtime :great

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about looking up missing games - particularly if it's just a new version. Once the script is done, it will automatically update the HOL site when a WHDLoad game is installed.

Whats the news on the updating thingy? still work-in-progress?:confused

It's almost complete. The WHDLoad site now links to the HOL entries and HOL just has to do the same, it shouldn't be long now!

I thought they were caps IDs at first :nuts

Dunno if this applies to the general field of earlier posts on this thread i started some time ago, or should it be mentioned in a different one, but here is a request that popped in to my mind just today..
How about adding a sidenote to the slave's information or a somekind of checkbox to the general information, if an install requires a registered version of the WHDLoad software?
If a "WHDLoad needs to be registered" key would be in the game's database-entry, you could do a quick search for games which need the registered version in order to work...
Just a suggestion..

That "requires registration" information is not stored on the WHDLoad website so it cannot feed the data to HOL.
I'm not sure how useful it would be anyway to be honest, if you particularly want to play a game you can click the link and look at the readme to check it yourself. The readme contains far more information such as the version needed, memory requirements etc. And then you have other problems such as a CD32 install that doesn't need registering but a disk version that does. I think there are more important things to work on than this to be honest.
