View Full Version : Save game does not work

Hi

So far I have tried "Die Siedler / The Settlers" and "Mad TV" and both games crash when I try to use the built-in Save-Function.
I have installed both games using CAPS images and the installers from whdload.de . Mad TV just freezes - the music continues to play in the background and I can terminate the game with F10 - while trying to save in "Die Siedler / The Settlers" produces a complete blank screen after which I have to reset the emulation to continue.

How can I fix this ?

Bye

Personally, i've heard only about troubles with saving on different-then-FFS partitions... You tried running Settlers by clicking/executing:
"[WHDLoad installed drawer]:data/TheSettlers"

does saving work in other games?

I never heard about such problems.

I never heard about such problems.

What i ment was that not-WHDLoad-installed games had/have such problems on some configurations, no offence Wepl ;)

I have not yet tried any other games with save game function - I can try Indiana Jones 3 / 4 and Kyrandia later.
The games are on a 500 MB hardfile, formatted under Workbench 3.1.

Well I just installed Kyrandia and there saving seems to work. I forgot to mention in my earlier post that MAD TV only crashes when I try to overwrite an earlier savegame. Saving to and loading from an unspoilt, virgin save-game slot works fine.

Edit : Syndicate works, too. Considering this, it seems likely that the problem is somehow related to the installers of Mad TV and Die Siedler.

In those cases, the best thing to do is
1) to check if there is not a new version of the slave available
2) to submit a bugreport on whdload page.

I manage the bugreports I get by e-mail in a database, but I don't see all bugs reported on this board

Done. Did you get the emails ?
