I have had a flurry of games crowd into my missing list. i have hope that this list may attract a small percentage of the responses that Cody's now legendary second games list has produced.

I've upped Airforce Commander + the WWII mission disk (I guess that's what you're looking for Fred), as well as Arnhem. I think I have other games from that list (a lot of them are in the TOSEC collection), but I don't have the time to check them right now.
P.S.: Was Airforce Commander originally a one-disk game, and was the WWII mission disk released separately? If so, we might have to change the TOSEC naming to
Airforce Commander (1992)(Impressions)(M5)[cr Faith]
Airforce Commander - WWII Mission Disk (1992)(Impressions)(M5)
What's your stance on this Twistin'? ;)

First of all, thanks for uploading these games, Twist and Morph:). If ever I can help, let me know. MI believe several games on the list are vapor ware, but it was a last resort....I am sorry I can't dub any of thee or whatnot. Suffice it to say, youse deserve something for your efforts. Watch this thread in the near future for our promised Liberace pics. Extra fruity, too:)
As a guess, I would say the AF Commander WW 2 mission disk, Morph, he of the Tosec, would be seperate from the original release. but Twist, Cody or Andreas would know better.
I have actually looked for a non cracked one myself, Uuk. (May I call you Uuk?). I will renew my search. Maybe someone here can help and has it, Marz maybe, since he has an extensive collection of uncracked games for his HD project, but thats a guess.

Wow, I am not sure either. In my database, I just have the game listed but no mention of how many disks. And I don't have a seperate entry for the Mission disk, either. Maybe Cody knows this one.
BTW: I apologize for hogging the uploads there. I was only sparsely paying attention. I grabbed Fred's list and started hunting the files down and when I went to the Zone, I just jumped to the bottom of the page and went for it. Glad I didn't collide with anything. Sorry if I appeared to be hot rodding.
I did, however, drop a couple of games that didn't TOSEC for me that you may enjoy, as well: Return To Atlantis and War Machine. I haven't tested them in emulation yet, but I seem to remember having War Machine working at one time.
@Fred
I am almost 100% certain Vette wasn't released on the Amiga. Same thing with Sword of the Samurai. We went through the drudgery of anticipating those back in the early 90's and never saw hide nor hair of their release(s). A few other games on there I have never heard of being on the Amiga either: what is Light Cycles? I mean, it seems obvious that it's a Tron game, but I am not familiar with it. PD, maybe?

@Twistin': I wasn't complaining. :) Thanks for the upload flood! Gave my 56k a well-deserved break. ;) Return to Atlantis & War Machine shall be added to TOSEC soonish. BTW, the Fairlight crack of Space Crusade is on the TOSEC list, but I can't find it in my HD/CD archive right now. It's probably been added by one of my co-renamers. Seems strange that it should be 3 disks... maybe the expansion disk was counted as well, I gotta check that.

LOL!!:laugh
I guess thats why Sane had to do this piece of work up there, and beautifully so, may I say.. Thanks much Sane, helpful as ever, I see:) Those games look scrumptious! Especially Twin Turbos, looking decidedly 8 bit:) (Love 8 bit games)
Twist, I guessed as much. The only way for me to play SOTS is via PeeCee abandonware, and I am not even going to bother. But...Vette did get released for the Atari St, according to The Legacy, so I'll hunt for that soon. I guess this brings us to night Raider\ Dive Bomber. Seems we have been looking for that one a long time as well, fruitlessly. Its still in Cody's request list.
Thanks for the unToseced games as well, Twist:)

This thread was no fun for ya eh Fred? You got almost all of what you wanted within a few hours ;)

btw - Uropa 2 is pretty big if I recall
Virtual GP I would love to get my hands on too, although I'm hesitant due to legality issues (this one was released in about 2000)
Fred the Fop
30 September 2001, 15:18
Amigaboy, it was fun waking up early to see this flood of games I have been searching for:) Its not important that you cannot find these games for me tho, you can just be my pal..just download what you don't have, m8!
I am not sure I knew Virtual GP 1 was so young!1 I am mistaken for asking for it and apologize to anyone for asking for this, I am not a warez type rom kiddie:) Very much appreciate you pointing it out, Amigaboy! I'll take it off my requset list. s for Uropa, big? 4 disk? 5??:p
Twist, as for Light Cycles, I don't remember how this got on my list
or what it is even...maybe another piece of vaporware?
Amigaboy
30 September 2001, 15:22
Who knows mate. You might be requesting some other Virtual GP. There's still that possibility
As for Uropa 2, when I said big, what I meant to say was....1 CD :D This can too be considered semi-warez since it's fairly recent (about 96), but Vulcan have given away almost all of their games for free, so I assume it's alright to get this one (but don't quote me on it!)
Amigaboy
30 September 2001, 15:25
ok. I just did a quick price check on my Uropa 2 CD, and mate, it ain't cheap.
287mb....By my calculations, that'll require...about 2 Amiga floppy disks.....Wait...That's wrong :p

30 September 2001, 16:33
I posted Disk 1 & Disk 3 (!) of the FairLight crack of Space Crusade. Disk 2 seems to be the same as in the Nemesis crack. Since the Nemesis set has only 2 disks, I checked Disk 3 of the FairLight one again and now suspect it's actually the expansion disk, even though I couldn't get it to work. Might be a corrupt version, someone with expert knowledge about Amiga disk images should check that.
Twistin'Ghost
01 October 2001, 01:03
@Morph
Well, I had the disk 1 & 3, which is what I wondered about it, the fact that it was missing disk 2. And the issue over it being 3 disks rather than 2. I will do some hacking and see if I can resolve this.
But it brings up another issue I was gonna inquire about anyhow: sometimes I will have a different crack of a game than is in the TOSEC database...for example a 2-disak game. The disk 1 is obviously not recognized since it's not in the database, but disk 2 will be recognized as disk 2 of the other version and will be renamed according to the filename conventions of the other crack. In other words, the disk 2 is identical on both cracks.
If you're still with me, is there a way to prevent this incorrect (for lack of a better word) renaming method. My current solution is to rename them manually in the TOSEC standard. But when the TOSEC standards change for Amiga games and I have to send my collection through the grind again for the revision CDs, won't this cause a lot of manual fixes to be made by me again?
CodyJarrett
01 October 2001, 08:56
MMMMmmm. You guys have got there first!
morph72
01 October 2001, 09:42
@Twistin: That's an issue that is rather difficult to resolve, for practical reasons. Say we add a 2 disk game, cracked by Quartex, to the TOSEC dat:
Game (19xx)(Bla)[cr Quartex](Disk 1 of 2)
Game (19xx)(Bla)[cr Quartex](Disk 2 of 2)
Then we stumble across another version of this game, cracked by Nemesis, where the 2nd disk is the same as in the Quartex crack. Now, for technical reasons we can't add two disks with the same checksum under two different names. So we'll just add disk 1 of the Nemesis crack, leaving a "gap" in this set:
Game (19xx)(Bla)[cr Nemesis](Disk 1 of 2)
I.e., everytime you find a gap in one of the TOSEC sets, look for an alternative TOSEC set that has the missing disk. This is clearly not ideal, but unless we introduce merged sets as in MAME (allowing two different sets to share some disks with different names but identical checksum), there's no way to change that.
P.S.: The main reason why we haven't used "merging" so far is that RomDoctor doesn't support it. ClrMame Pro & RomCenter do, though, which is why it MIGHT be added in the (not-so-near) future.

Thanks for looking at the list Cody:) These guys . Twist and Morph and Sane , jumped on it pretty quick. But I just checked your games list and I think you have mobile Warfare and Virtual gp:)
You STILL have a chance to contribute to the denting of the list:p
Your Liberace photos await...the wonders of the effete pianist, his rhinestone dreams swirling in decadent baroque....
I need help.
Bad.

I don't have Virtual GP, but I can upload Mobile Warfare tomorrow. It's HD only. Someone wanted Ultra Violent Worlds recently too, so I'll get that as well.

Merci, Cody:) As for Ultra Violent World, I am afraid we already have one:(:(:(

Out of all the games, I frown most upon the distribution of Ultra Violent Worlds since I've met the developers, who are really cool people (all really young 20 somethings)
I bought my Amiga 1200 from one of them

I 'm just sad the REAL world is ultra violent, Amigapal. I mean Amigaboy ;)
What ever happened to baking pie for everyone, or just doing nice things?
This world is fucked. Sorry for tangental dementia:p
As for the games still on the list, I am suspecting most are vaporware, especially Night Raider. Warlock came close to putting the nail in that coffin, when i believe he got word the Gremlin CD, which adverts the game on the jewel case, does not contain the game at all.

THe photos will be sent to the people who have helped me with this list. But......if someone here can find the game known as Global Commander or Metropolis, I will send them a rare pic of Liberace AND a pic of real pic of one of our denizens here , the only hint is that he is from Europe. And my thanks.
