I never heard about this game, so I'm sorry but I have no tips for it. But I would love to see that game... I mean, I am from Brazil, 2 things people love here are Samba music, and Soccer

And this game seems to have all! :)

Ok, here is how much I know: it was released in 1998 by Alive Mediasoft & Sayonara Software on cd. There are ocs and aga versions.

Here you can get a demo (http://www.nutts.demon.co.uk/sambademo.html) version.

Here some more
info (http://www.cucug.org/amiga/aminews/1998/980613-alive.html)

Also here (http://agcweb.online.fr/awards.html) with other newer games that I newer heard about them before (like Hexen).

I think I have the full AGA version and assume you want to try it. Its quite big, ca. 10MB. When I get home I gona put it on my little ftp and post the link.

Pls tell me if you got it running.

yaya, wait a sec. ! :)

I don't have an Amiga anymore, all I can do is try it in winuae, and with my humble P233, I doubt I'll get decent speed in a AGA game
if you already put it in a FTP, then I'll get and try it anyway

If you don't... don't worry, just a screenshot will do :)

thanx for the offer anyway :)

If you're telling us all to get the full game, then why did you print a link to a page containing the demo? :confused

To try the game before buying it.

The demo link also contains usefull info about the game, screenshot + demo, witch is much smaller as the actual game (10mb).

Amigaboy

Not to mention that the demo is LEGAL and the full game is ILLEGAL

Just thought I'd point that out for ya's :)

@Amigaboy.
Well, I suppose it is a similar syndrome to fred's little elves syndrome? :)

Does anyone know how much the game costs, and if it is worth teh dosh?

Huh, I didnt know that they still sell like all their products (http://computer.freepage.de/cgi-bin/feets/freepage_ext/41030x030A/rewrite/sayonara/index2.html) (the last time their site was down), even those from 1992! And Samba World Cup costs 79 DM!!!

http://www.weirdscience.co.uk/products/sports/samba.shtml

hmm. According to that link, the product is discontinued, so that adds to the mystery

But you must remember that the game is still reasonably new. If you weren't given written permission by the author, it's wrong to distribute it

---

Just checked your above link. See. They still sell it. Therefore, it IS illegal to distribute it

I send two mails and no response. But I removed the game-link anyway

Eat The Whistle, or ETW, was a horrible soccer game relased in 1996 I think. I thrw the putrid piece of shit away.

Why did you think it was shit, monsieur tgreat?

Fred the Fop

Well the control was non existent. First order of business in ANY game, especially sport, is good control. Next, it was very slow, no matter what I tried. And last, it reallly looked like shit;P
Stay away from it at all costs, Marz!
