Hi,

I'm having a big problem with WinUAE and JIT...

WinUAE takes forever to start booting. And while it waits, it's eating all CPU...
=> It can take up to 30sec to *start* booting.

F12 also takes 3-4sec to bring the prefs window. And usually, bringing this window 2 or 3 times will make it *immediatly* boot after I unpause it.

Anyone got the same problem ?
It happens with latest versions as well as older versions.
I have tried to change ROM and that won't do it.

I got WinXP Home...

Lower WinUAE's priority or adjust "CPU Idle"-setting (2-3 steps right) in CPU-panel.

Does changing winuae priority have any effect?

edit: ah I'm late!

Personally, i find that setting the cpu idle bar all the way to the left (Off) gives me the best performance. Also, just leaving the Priorities where they are should be fine. It can often depend on your PC Spec, if you have at least 512MB graphics card, i would recommend changing the "Display Buffer" option under the WinUAE "Misc" options to "Local VRAM", this benefits me a lot, but of course it always depends on your system spec, even an average PC by today's standards should be able to cope. I Have:-

Windows XP Black build 2600 Service Pack 3
AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 4200+
2GB DDR ram
Nvidia Geforce 8600 GTS graphics card with 512MB ram
