Yep, here: http://www.caps-project.org/files/datafiles.zip - this is always upto date and contains all games preserved so far.

Just do the following:

1) Extract all files to a folder
2) Open the artefacts.xml in a text editor
3) Change the link at the top from artefacts-html.xsl to artefacts-rc.xsl
4) Save
5) Open the artefacts.xml file in IE/Firefox/Mozilla
6) Copy & paste results into new file
7) Load into RomCenter

Of course, this may not be exactly what you intended, but... :)

i've tryed step by step but i've done something wrong: "Copy & paste results into new file" is paste in a blank text file and rename it *.dat to load it in Rc?

Errm, not sure what you are doing but, IE/Firefox/Mozilla translate the XML database (artefacts.xml) into a specified (RomCenter complient) form using the stylesheet (artefacts_rm.xsl). You then need to highlight everything in the browser window, copy it to the clipboard then paste it into a new file, save that as whatever.dat and load into RC.

If your still having problems, let me know exactly what your doing and I will try to help out.

ok worked it, thanks! the problem was that i was doing it in Opera that kept formatting the text differently. works fine in Mozilla.

Hmm, I'll have to check that out. The schema is pretty specific, so it should have worked...

Yeah, XSLT is relatively new stuff, I am not surprised it is not supported by older versions of IE.

Very true.
They will be supported hopefully soonish, but in a different XML file.

out of curiosity, did have i meissed something else as Rc propose to rename all my collection without any tosec tag, or this is just normal as the fdat file was alredy intended to not have any tag? (year and manufacturer)

Yes the naming convension is different from TOSEC, purely because it is easier to deal with atm. We don't currently fill in, or have that information anyway. Maybe some day we will, but it will take some work that we would rather spend on preservation of the games themselves.
