I got a big Problem here .... I found a game in my Collection which seems to be very rare called : GLADIATOR - (C) by SOFTGOLD 1991 (see attached Image). It seems to be a NDOS Disk. If I try to adf, it lasts more than 2 hours to do it, afterwards I get a 880KB adf file (seems ok then). So I transfered to the PC after packing it with LHA. The size of the lha file is no more than 1400 Bytes !!!!! If I try to run this adf in an Emulator, it refuses to work.... does anyone here got any Information about this game ?? Screenshots, copy protection, Track Info, ANYTHING ???? Thx in advance ......

Of course you cant ADF it with normal tools, because its a protected disk! You will have to use Codetapper's rawread proggie to make an extended ADF file.

BTW, isnt that the awful fighter featuring gladiators? The name rings a bell :)

I know for a fact that Sir CodyJarrett doesnīt have a screenshot from this game, and that means he doesnīt have the game.

Cody, is this the "Gladiators" in your MIA list?

@Akira

Sure I know, that I cannot adf it with the normal tools, I like to crack it perhaps and make an adf after that, so that anyone could use it on Emulators, thatīs why Iīm in search for any Info on that game, I never saw that one ANYWHERE, it wasnīt even mentioned as far as I know ......

I've updated the MIA list with details of two 'Gladiator' games:

Gladiator (Softgold=1991)
Gladiators (Smash 16)

Here's the copy of Gladiators that I have.The info on the cover lists the company as Smash 16 (budget, I believe) and the copyright info is (C) 1989 Interceptor LTD. I've never booted the disk up, though.

And just to be different, I hacked up a double barrel screenshot from the images on the back of the sleeve.

What if the shitty PC diskdrive stuffs your disk up? You have to use that tool to convert to Extended ADF!

Lemme do a search in the forums for that... I know somebody posted a link!

For now, to back it up and make a WHD install, download MFMWarp and send the resulting image to Codetapper :)

@CodyJarrett and all others

This disk, which is labeled "Gladiator - (c) Softgold 1991" is in fact "Gladiators - (c) Smash 16" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just digged out my A500+ (cause on my A1200 it isnīt even booting up) and there it was --------> the GLADIATORS loading screen, now ....... just edit your MIA List once again Cody :(

Maybe yours is the original release and Smash16 is the budget release? (sounds like a budget label name :))

Wow, Andy! As always, you have really come through with a rarity! Playing it made me feel just like Russell Crowe! And the erotic undertones of the S&M sequence were just the right touch! :cheese

Actually, it's no wonder the game is so rare. It's quite the rubbish affair, isn't it?

Yeah, it is pretty crappy isn't it? The controls are stiff and fighting seems like more of a chore than something to be entertaining to anyone.
