Hi,

I have a list of games (http://www.thebends.co.uk/amiga/) that are either not listed in the CAPS database or are listed differently (e.g. individually rather than as part of a compilation).

Could one of the CAPS gurus tell me for example if Road Rash that comes as part of the Help! compilation is the same as the normal Road Rash game or if Myth that came free with an A600HD is the same as normal Myth.

I hope that makes sense! :crazy

All my games are English versions.

No idea I am afraid. I think we will only be able to tell if you dump them. Sorry I can't be any more help...

Generally, later releases of games can be different from retail ones; they went for cheap duplication for the re-releases; that sometimes required changes to disk format and protection and thus game code. The original scripting used for duplication and masters were often not available either.
It really depends on a lot of factors.
In case of the a600hd package since it was meant to promote hard disk usage, they specifically went for hard disk installable versions when they could.
Therefore Epic, Rome Ad'92, and Trivial Pursuit are very different, highly modified versions of the originals.
Myth afair is the same.

Thanks for the replies.

Some of the games listed I have dumped before, but I can dump the others if you think it would be worthwhile.

Most of the games are from my original collection rather than eBay buys so should be in good condition (I hope!).

Well all the games have been dumped - so I hope that they will be of some use! :)

Thanks very much! :)

I guess (to a simplified extent at least) you see how useful they were in the next couple of release batches...
