View Full Version : Original uncracked games (probably a stupid question)

A while ago I made a few images of my original manual-protected Amiga games, and I was just wondering if anyone was interested in these, or if they were useful only to myself :p

This is probably a stupid question since most of the games are unplayable (some have scans of the manuals etc but most don't), but then they are part of the Amiga's history and so perhaps someone will want them? Anyway, I have various games and can upload some or all if people want them. Personally I always like to have as unaltered images of games as possible, which is one reason I made the adfs in the first place :)

Of course we are interested! Just post a list of what you have, dammit! :D

OK, here goes...its mostly strategic style games which some people may find boring but never mind :)

Frontier
Civilisation
Monkey Island 2 *
Knights of the Sky *
The Settlers
B17 *
Police Quest 2 *
Theme Park
KGB
Syndicate *
Flashback
Combat Air Patrol *
Worms
Cruise for a Corpse
The Colonel's Bequest *
Gunship 2000
Dune 2
Operation Stealth *
Nigel Mansell's World Championship
Flashback
Campaign *
Formula One Grand Prix (A600 bundled version)
Historyline 1914-1918 *
Indianopolis 500 *
Advantage Tennis *
PGA Tour Golf *

The games marked with stars either dont have copy protection, or have scans of the relevant manual pages etc. Unfortunately my Amiga died before I could make any more adfs :( If anyone needs any uploading, just let me know.

*COUGH* me *COUGH*

Only if you want to waste all the bandwidth and time of course

btw - My Amiga died this morning too. I can't make ADFs anymore. It went fizzle :(

I'm pretty sure I have the manual for Operation Stealth somewhere... If I find it I can send it you if you want (scans of it)

@TikTok

I´m interested in all of them, but if you cannot upload them all, please do an upload from these at last :

- KGB
- The Colonel's Bequest *
- Worms
- Cruise for a Corpse

would be kewl, thx in advance ....

I have more than 4, but they're all packed away and virtually impossible to unpack

OK, I'm uploading KGB and Worms now. As I said, these need the manuals for the copy protection codes, but I am working on getting these scanned in :)

@Jambo
Thanks for the offer. I just realised my first message was kinda misleading...the titles which I put stars next to either don't require manual protection (e.g. Monkey Island 2), or I have scans of them (e.g. Operation Stealth). Sorry for the confusion :nervous

Wow, thanks..I was really not looking forward to trying to scan in all those codes :) The only ones I had seen on the net before were incomplete and in a huge PDF document.

Looking at those codes makes me wonder....How many mistakes are in there?

It's a big list. There's gotta be at least one

Yikes, that shouldn't happen :eek I can't make another copy because my Amiga is dead, but I may have an adf of the same disk which I made a year or so ago (perhaps the disk developed errors between then and now). Sorry about that :sad Should have checked them more thoroughly...

I've uploaded my original version to the ADF-Zone, so try that.

@TikTok

Well I also have a manual for Cruise for a Corpse then :) It's pretty hard to read (or it may just be my eyes again) as it's scans of the codewheel in it's different positions from the "Classic Collection - Delphine" boxed set.. (I think the copy of Flashback in this doesn't have copy protection?)

@everyone else

If you want, when I get round to it (1 -> 24 months...) I could image the disk's I have, but you'll have to take this list with a pinch of salt (lost disks, not working etc..) as I'm going off boxes here :)

Classic Collection - Delphine (Flashback, Another World, Cruise for a Corpse, Operation Stealth, Future Wars)
Classic Collection - Loom,Monkey Island and some otheres.
Alien Breed 3D
Gloom
Turbo OutRun 2
Subwar 2050
F117A
Gunship 2000
Star Trek 5th Anniversary
Cannon Fodder
Chaos Engine
Terminator 2
Desert Strike

I think I threw a few of them in the bin a while back though, but I may also still have my large box of misc floppy disk's (mainly coverdisks but there may be some games in there)...

If I ever do adf them I'll post em here.

Turbo Outrun 2? Does this exist? Never seen it in my life, and I don't know there is a Sega coin-op with such name...

I'll be glad to be corected if I'm wrong, though :)

No, my mistake, I was looking at disk 2 and put that down (the eyes you see :))

It's Turbo Outrun :D

@Jambo
My copies of Cruise for a Corpse and Flashback are not from the Classic Collection, so I can't comment on their copy protection. I'd love to see your scans of CFAC's codewheel though if you can find them :)

Cruise For A Corpse in the Delphine collection has codewheel protection, but, as already stated, the codewheel is provided as scanned pictures in different positions. These pictures are half the size of a normal codewheel.

Flashback in the Delphine collection has no protection.

Another World has no protection ( contrary to the password protection screen :p )

Future Wars has protection. You're provided with many pictures and you must identify which square is the correct square, with the colours matching

Operation Stealth has protection. You're given a black and white picture on screen, and 1 small portion of it flashes. You must identify what colour this is using the provided colour picture.

So that's the Delphine collection covered in terms of protections :)
