Sensible Problems, PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi All

I'm a new member and an extreme technophobe (not a good combination)however, I'm a great amiga lover and a huge lover of sensible soccer especially. I don't have an Amiga anymore but I downloaded WinFellow v0.4.3 bulid 1 the other day and got very excited about the thought of playing my favourite amiga games again on my pc.I've got a few games up and going but when I tried to load up Sensible Soccer (all versions) I was deeply sadened to find it didn't work. So baring in mind that I'm a technophobe and can't use dos could someone, anyone please help me (step by step) to make this great game work again.

Step 1: Get WinUAE 0.8.8 and official Roms from Cloanto
Step 2: Sensible Soccer Suddenly works as if by magic

Actually, WinFellow is very good. It's speedy and runs a lot of games that WinUAE won't.

Hello again

I can't find sensible soccer on Cloanto or winuaev 0.8.0, I've found Winuae v0.8.16 but it won't work, it just says "application error has occurred " when I click on the winuae icon.

Please help guys, I'm at a loose end.:(

WinFellow _will_ run Sensible Soccer - I do this often myself as I have sound problems in the latest WinUAE. Which version of Sensi Soccer are you trying? I use 1.1 and it works fine with KS1.3, 1MB Chip RAM, and OCS. Sometimes I think games aren't going to work, but then I find out that I just haven't waited long enough for them to load :) Anyway, keep trying, it does work - and it's a great game :)

Thanks for the info, I downloaded winuae8.8 and aiab and sensible 95/96 works but my winuae 8.8 slows down a lot during games, what can this be?Winfellow doesnt do that. Also on sensible soccer 96/97 (or the newist version) winuae loads the sensi logo main screen etc.. then asks for old disk, what the hell does that mean?

I'm happier thanks to you guys but still confused and still need help

When it asks for the old disk 2 it's asking for disk 2 of SWOS 94/95 the first release. Some files of it are required of this game which is because this is an update. You'll have to track down the 2nd SWOS 94/95 disk from somewhere.
As for WinUAE 0.8.8 slowing down in places you must have a bloody slow computer. WinUAE 0.8.8 is one of the fastest versions of WinUAE for games. My 600Mhz AMD Athlon runs it super smoothly. Anything less than 300Mhz and you will be struggling. Either upgrade your computer or turn off the sound which will speed things up.
