A shockwave version of Defender Of The Crown is up at www.cinemaware.com

This isn't a portion as they had before. This is the entire full game (with some graphical enhancements).

It is a littly buggy though (I ended up with -50 knights during battle), but cool nevertheless

No, really! :) The 'remastered' version has a lot of flaws, typical mistakes of the generic 'Photoshop whore'.

Now, if they would hire Made and make him do the graphics again, that would be utter GENIUS.

Made has got to be the BEST pixel artist EVER! :) What do you think, RCK? I would provide pics but it seems the GFX Zone is closed until further notice :(

I don't know if MADE did the pixel art for Will Harvey's "The Immortal". That was a beautifully rendered game as well!
Who did the artwork on that if it was not MADE?

RCK: GFXZone was a pixelart graphics portal (http://gfxzone.planet-d.net)

EXCELLENT libraryu of shit, they had galleries of almost all reknowned demoscene pixel artists. Made included...

I dont think Made did the graphics for any game, though Angelfire did the graphics of Perihelion (if I am not mistaking him with someone else, he used to do lots of graphics for Scoopex)

I thought it looked a good idea, the screenshots looked quite good, until I selected the zoomed pictures!

Oh dear it looks a bit shit to me!:(

The picture it loads on the left is the old version, did you scroll right to see the new picture?

@warlock99

I sure as hell did and wasn't impressed at all. At the time the original Amiga version looked artistic, but the new version just doesn't. It all looks a bit lazy to me.:)

While the higher resolution may be nice I think it looks somehow wrong.

Well, I think if you want to make a relaunch of some old programs like DotC, you cannot make the gfx tooooo realistic, for example put some digitized foto in the game, it would not be the same anymore, but this little cosmetic operation is good for the game in todays times. Perhaps some of the "NEWBIES" today, which hadnīt got the chance to take part on that area of video games may get a feeling of what Retro Gaming is all about today ..... just a guess .....
