World Of Stuart

Stuart Campbell was a great reviewer who worked for Amiga Power. Here is his site, which has lots of his writing:

http://www.worldofstuart.co.uk/

Here is his message board, at which I have already demanded answers on 12 SECRETS OF AMIGA POWER.

As I recall, Stuart did go to work for Sensible.

I must say, as critical as he is about the interface for so many of the games he has slogged off, you'd think the interface to his site would at least look half decent. It's a great repository of all things Stuart, but that crap front page scores lower than International Rugby Challenge.

Twist, that whole front page is a parody of mid-80s British TV presenter Dickie Davies, and ITV Sport.

But even knowing that, it is STILL poor attempt!

When I read he does comedy as well, that was enough. Maybe I'll go back, but I doubt it.

Well, I could tell it was a satire of something English or Scottish, but didn't know what. But from a design standpoint, the blocky and grainy images as well as general layout of the front page is (to use one of Stuart's fav words) abysmal.

But birdy, if you aren't familiar with Stuart's acid-tongued wit, I strongly urge you to read his stuff. It will make you laugh. If you only read one article, find his International Rugby Challenge review. I remember reading that when that issue came out and have been laughing at it ever since. When I feel depressed, I dig that issue up and it always make me feel better.
