I think the real question at hand here is this:
How is it pronounced? Is it ee-moo china ? Or perhaps it's em-you china? |

Just curious of anyone is interested in getting the emuchina.net database, specifically the TOSEC part. I spent yesterday downloading local copies of their web pages to my computer and I'll compress and post them if somebody is interested. Of course I don't yet have the entire TOSEC list as some of the web pages can't be accessed, they appear to have them either turned off or permissions are set incorrectly
![]() I'll post info here on what web pages I have this way you can view them locally via IE5+ from your HD instead of being online, hey some offline viewing is good

I tell ya, once you get connected to emuchina you can pretty much stay connected and it seems that their d/l rate is actually pretty high

Okay people, I've compressed and u/l the web pages from Emuchina.net and separated them into sub-categories. I also renamed and corrected spelling errors and typo's, at least the ones I could find
![]() Check out the Zone for the d/l's!!!! |

Emuchina.net uses a password security system that Get Right and other d/l managers balk at. You'll have to just d/l via a web browser with these pages or simply go to the #emuchina IRC channel and get them via an fserve

I totally understand why they do this too
![]() I can only suggest getting these from your home connection, assuming that you have one that is ![]() You may also do some checking around here and other sites to see if there was anyone that has archived these titles onto CD-R or CD-RW

well, I've downloaded the 4 Cds available trough e-donkey... and I've downloaded all pe2000.net (quite a long time ago)... And even have got the long lost Lazarus files a long, long, long time ago.
but these files are less than the whole Tosec files... (Not that I could play them all but... hey, who does not want to complete his collection?) But I am thinking of something thay may work... and it's name is... BLACKWIDOW I think I am almost there!!!!!!!! |

I've got a free d/l manager called NetSpider which I think may also work with emuchina as well, I'll have to check it out

OLD PROGRAM
BlackWidow was the first program I ever used to "rip" a site... it is quite old... but I remember it used IE engine to browse through the site...
So I tried to browse through emuchina using BlackWidow as a browser... (or better, using IE engine to browse the site).. so it acts normally, the password window pops up, I fill the forms... When I am in, I click on the "explore" button... choose to download files as the program finds them... and there I go. It downloaded the htmls, started downloading the roms... WARNING: BOY, DO TRY THIS AT HOME ![]() Here is the BlackWidow HP: http://softbytelabs.com/BlackWidow/main.html There are 2 versions available. I am using the old one (the one I knew) you may try the new one. Remember to set it to download only one file at a time. |

Thanks for the link, I see the new version is shareware, that's the reason I'm gonna try out NetSpider as it's freeware with no ad's
![]() EDIT: check out emuchina's new TOSEC page, they added a new column now, nice info ![]() http://www.emuchina.net/roms/tosecroms.htm |
